The Ranger's Apprentice Series (Complete 12 Book Set)

I purchased this series for my son (an avid reader, although we didn't know it at the time) at age 8. He powered through these in a week. This series is the gold standard for him, and he compares all other series to this author (both writing style and world he has created so vividly). Other worthy points to note for young readers... he is FUNNY. the dialog between characters will have you laughing out loud. We have many quotables from these books. There are NO sex scenes or anything sexually inappropriate. There is love interest, but it plays a very secondary role in these books. Almost like a natural part of life, but not focused on it. There are MAPS! We love books with maps. There are obvious parallels to real world countries. Lastly, these books are ENJOYABLE for adults. Read them with your kids, either aloud or side by side. They're so lovely. We have created such a fun household culture around these books.

Buying all 12 books together is such a great deal compared to purchasing them individually. These books are absolutely amazing. We ordered this set with an estimated delivery time of about three weeks, but it arrived in just one week, two weeks early, which was such a pleasant surprise. The books were well wrapped and arrived in excellent condition. The story is incredibly engaging and pulls you in right away. We flew through the series because we genuinely could not put them down. If you enjoy adventure, strong characters, and a story that keeps you hooked, this series is a must-have. Highly recommend these books and this set. 10/10!

I saw this for what I considered was an amazing price so I grabbed it, and I wasn't disappointed. This is an incredible series and I love it! A few technical details about the books themselves. 1) They're English. And by English, I mean with English spelling, not American spelling. Although it might've been slightly annoying at first, I have since gotten used to the different spelling, which has actually become quite amusing for me:). 2) Also, the spines on book ten and twelve don't match up completely perfectly, but I don't think it looks so noticeable. It is not an error on the book, just how it was made ( at least, I think). It doesn't really make a difference but I though I should mention it. 3) Another thing, because its the English edition, the fourth book instead of being named Battle for Skandia, it is called Oakleaf Bearers. It's still the same exact book, despite the title name. 4) A typo found in the book itself (I'm pretty sure it was book two), in the character profile for Baron Arald the title for his name was Baron Auld.(only once though, not consistently) On a different note, the publisher seems to be very good, and the books came several days early, which I was really excited about. I am super satisfied and I would definitely buy again. I one hundred percent recommend both books and seller.

Started the first book on audio when I went camping. Ordered the whole set when I got back. Crazy good!! Really fast read but fun. Takes me two to three days to read a book. Would be a great first series for a first timer like a kid in 9th or 10th grade. I’m almost 60 so I guess they’re for anyone. Very good.

good series very entertaining worth the price

Its a wonderful adventure story. I read these books aloud with my son. We love them and the bonding time together as we alternate reading chapters aloud.

Adventurous, but no magic or spooky parts. Very good role models. Nice humor and an exciting plot.

Books were delivered quickly and in great condition

The books are of a decent quality, paper and binding. The series was shrink wrapped to keep them in good condition, the packaging was very good.

Diese Reihe ließt sich wunderbar. Ja ein Jugendbuch und durchaus leichte Kost aber wenn mans in Englisch ließt eine gute Übung. Die Story selbst ist so sensationell gut geschrieben das man regelrecht in die Geschehnisse rein gesaugt wird und hier und da schonmal 2 Stunden länger ließt als geplant ,nur weil man wissen will wie es weitergeht. Außerdem waren im Packet 12 Bände statt wie angegeben 11. Meiner Meinung nach würde ich Band 5 und 6 in anderer Reihenfolge lesen (erst 6 dann 5) weils in der Kronolgie eher passt, im einen ist Will - eine der Hauptfiguren noch Lehrling im anderen schon Ranger. Der Geschichte tuts aber keinen Abbruch. Wunderbarer Lesestoff auch noch für fast 50 Jährige Kinder mit Fantasie.
