Breville Curve Electric Kettle | 1.7 Litre | 3KW Fast Boil | White & Chrome [VKT117]

Great size, super fast and too quiet when boiling, lovely stylish, modern design, great value too!

When I went on holiday in a caravan for two weeks I used this make and model kettle, and I was very impressed and knew when my Ninja kettle gave up, I would purchase this one. I only had my Ninja a couple of years and it was rubbish compared to this Breville kettle. I really like the simplicity and the amount, the kettle holds. This kettle a lot of water which you can see on the side. These are represented by smaller cups. So if using a mug, obviously allow more. The design I was attracted to, the shaped diamonds, looks very smart. The kettle does swivel and corded to the decent length lead. To fill, the jug can be lifted off the base. I did look at the filter but not rinsed as yet If I had to nit pick, the only thing I found when the kettle boils, there is a slight vibration, so the kettle may wobble a slight amount on the work top. Be sure to remove the plug lead from the bottle of the base, less vibration. Compared to my Ninja kettle, this one is so, so much quieter when turning on, and boiling, then cutting off. Holds hot water a good length of time when boiling. The on/off click button is very good and works well, feels better than a lot of other brands I have used in the past. This kettle comes with a leaflet, but no warranty to sign up to in mine. So assuming Amazon will sort if any issues, comes with a year warranty. As instructed before using boil the kettle twice, and empty both times to remove any residue. Nether of us had any after taste afterwards and the tea and coffee is lovely and hot and tastes lovely. Looks smart on the worktop and does a decent job with toast. The wide slots are great for thicker bread and crumpets which was one of the reasons we picked this model. The high lift feature is really useful for getting smaller items out without burning your fingers. Four slices is essential in our house because trying to do breakfast for the family two slices at a time was painful with our old toaster. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that the browning can be a bit uneven sometimes. One side comes out slightly darker than the other, so you have to experiment with the dial to find the sweet spot. It's not a dealbreaker but it is noticeable. Build quality feels solid, the white and chrome finish still looks good after months of daily use, and the crumb tray slides out easily for cleaning. A good reliable toaster overall, just not absolutely perfect on the evenness.

Lovely toaster

I have always used Brevil, this looks stylish and. Matches my colour scheme perfectly. It has Silver buttons and levels, it seems to work as it's meant too without any issues

This is not a four slice toaster, certainly you can put 4 pieces of bread in but they all have to be toasted at the same time to the same level of brownest. The right hand side is the only 2 you can use independently. The left hand side will not work without the right hand side. USELESS. I purchased it in August 2025, today 17th January 2026 it has died. Never buying Breville again.

Just received my kettle Wow 🤩 it’s so quiet, boiled twice, emptied then added another no problems no after taste of plastic. I returned my previous kettle “ De'Longhi Eclettica BPA Free Metal Kettle KBY3001.W,” it was like a jet engine taking off also the on button kept turning itself off before boiling. So far absolutely delighted , time will tell. Really can’t see any issues fingers crossed 🤞.

I purchased a kettle from Amazon and they send me a kettle with are UK plug &Lead that’s very disappointed i had to go and purchase are UK wall plug just to use it’s very poor. The purchase was made in Australia not form UK I don’t now what happen there Ian not happy , hope they can get in touch with me after they read this email.

Sieht von außen deutlich besser und hochwertiger aus. Innen völlig billig gemacht und kein deutscher Stecker dran.

I am in Australia but was s nt an English kettle with English plug so can’t use it what a waste of money
