I was wearing braids for over a year on and off and this entire line of products was always my “go to.” Its moisturizing and that cool vibrant feeling it gives your scalp is indescribable... I have low porosity hair so wearing braids for extended periods wasn’t doing anything for growth or moisture. But this was the ONLY product to grow my hair and moisturize its I love this product, and loved it even more when I found out it was formulated by a black doctor. This is exactly why we need more products F U B U (for us by us)! I will continue to support the entire line of products by this brand and wish them nothing but the best on their future endeavors. I’m trying to transition to sulfate free hair products to bring out my naturally, curly hair. I was also having a lot of scalp sensitivity. I purchased the whole Girl+Hair line and will most likely not ever turn back! I am a Caucasian blond and my young daughter is too. Not only is my scalp sensitivity gone, not better - gone, but my hair feels healthier and is no longer breaking. I am amazed at how clean my hair and scalp get and how little product I need! The conditioner is a leave in and it is so light and doesn’t weigh my curls down! And as a bonus, my scalp has a lovely sensation after washing. Highly recommend!

Nice hair product, not sure about daily use though. I mainly use this to put on my scalp and hair after washing and do a hot oil treatment with it, but the first time I did this, I think I went a little overboard with it because even an hour later my scalp was still kind of 'burning'... It's just the tea tree oil in it is pretty intense. So now I'm pretty careful with putting it on my scalp. But even a little causes that tea tree freshness burn feeling. It does feel nice though, in moderation, and it smells good. I like the packaging too. Just I wouldn't be too liberal with it at once. I try to only use it on my hair, and not on my scalp. Edit: I don't really feel the 'freshness burn' feeling, if I use it on my scalp, days later after washing. It seems like that happens mainly if I use it on my scalp, same day right after washing.

Both of my boys have styled hair that still protects their scalps for the most part. I just poke the tip into the areas between the sections and give a little squeeze then press down on the hair to spread the moisture! It's nice and thick, so you don't have to worry about it sliding off onto clean clothes.
