This is a cool shredder that really shreds a bunch of papers at once. I love the shreds it makes, they are perfect for pet bedding, and the waste drawer holds a ton before you have to empty it. It has solidly great safety features and is easy to use. I appreciate that the buttons and readout messages are straightforward and I don't need to refer to the manual every time I turn it on or a message pops up. I've used it enough to make 4 giant garbage bags of shreds since it arrived, I had a backlog of papers that had been stacking up for months! And it's still going strong. I've needed to oil it twice with so much shredding, you can tell it's time to oil when it just starts feeling like it takes a half second more to shred. Glad I grabbed this, I love that I'm able to keep secure and repurpose our non-inky paper as bedding or mulch, it works great! Not too noisy, either!

I'd say for it's very first use it did great! It's very small and compact, its very efficient for its size. Incredibly easy to assemble, literally two pieces and nothing requires screwing in. Its a little noisy but nothing out of the ordinary, it's a paper shredder lol. I'd say it's pretty durable especially because our first day of having it we shredded 6 trash bags of paper shreds! So it works really well and I surprisingly didnt fry the motor. 10/10 very nice for the prize and size. If something happens to our current shredder i'd probably just buy this one again. The only con is that if you have a bad enough paper jam you might need to disassemble it because the forward and reverse option dont work when it jams. Disassembly is super easy. But if you take the front cover off, there's three things you need to make sure at lined up before you screw it back together. You line up the LED lights to the holes on front, and there's another small piece that goes to the on/off switch, that also needs to be lined up, and of course the shredder. It's easy. Hard to mess up. Highly recommend

Purchased as a gift and works wonderfully. My spouse receives a lot of junk mail, especially for credit cards, so I was looking for something small that could handle a bit of everything, and this little guy does a great job! It can be a bit noisy when in use, but it is small and quite durable for the affordable price. I would recommend this to others, and I would happily purchase this again!

Good product and a fair price. The "grab" of the paper is al little slow for my taste as you must push it in deep before it starts feeding. However, it cuts well and handles thicker stock too. It's a heavy unit which usually means the parts and quality should be good. For the price, I'd say it should give me many years of service before replacement is due, after all nothing lasts forever.

The cross cut is outstanding and power is good and works very well the handle comes in handy because of the weight noise level is well below the one i use to have .. ~very easy to use

Bought as replacement. Not as big or heavy duty as my old one but gets the job done. Struggles trying to do 8 sheets at a time but does 4 sheets easily. Should be ok for casual/light daily use but only time will tell. For the price I’ll give it a try.

Shredder works fine. Only one small issue with the auto/on/off switch. On auto, works fine. When switching to on, shredder doesn't always turn on, but small tapping or jiggling on the switch turns it on. But doesn't seem like a switch problem since once it's running, tapping or jiggling the switch doesn't turn it off. But I use auto most of the time, so doesn't matter. And if I want to run it always on, I know how to get it going if necessary. Otherwise, perfect for what I wanted.

I needed to buy a new shredder after burning out the motor on the last one we had (yes, it was old, I had a big bag of papers to get rid of, and should've known better!). The Amazon's Choice icon for this one caught my eye, and the discounted price and good reviews had me dropping it in my cart right away. This economical shredder is super for quickly shredding old credit cards and expired insurance or membership cards that might have personal info embedded in them, even though it handles only one at a time. It's noisy, but efficient, and has overload and overheat lights to warn when the 3 minutes of shred time is up. My main problem is probably more operator error than not--I tried to shred 4 pages of 8" x 11" papers, but they kept getting pulled over to one side, which then partially jammed the shredder blades. I still had the same problem if I didn't hold onto the very top of the papers with a couple of fingers to be sure they didn't scrunch up, and since it shreds faster with fewer pages, I usually just do 2 pages at a time. The shredder part is impressively sturdy, and fits well on top of the basket; the handle is a nice feature for picking it up to move the whole unit. I definitely recommend this handy shredder for not just the security, but also the quality.

I was worried this would be a loud machine but it’s surprisingly quiet. I found the 8 sheet had a very high pitch gear sound this one is much lower in person. It handles paper just fine. I typically put in 4 unopened envelopes of mail at a time and it handles it well but slower than just sheets of paper. I recommend using a small bag in the bin just to keep dust to a minimum.

After reading the reviews, I was carefully optimistic about this purchase. We have a small business and we had a lot of historical paperwork to shred. I wanted an automatic document feed shredder and this one fit the bill. In the 5 days since receiving the Amazon shredder, I have shredded stacks of paper. The automatic document feed works great. I put in stapled and unstapled pages, (I followed the directions and only placed the staples towards the front of the shredder) and so far no paper jams. The bin is a good size, I line it with a clear plastic bag to make bin changes easier/tidier. I can put in a stack of paper and leave the room, the shredder does the job while I'm gone.
