GeilSpace 3/4" × 60" Heavy Duty Pre-Cut Grey Metal Pipe, Industrial Steel Fits Standard 3/4 Inch Threaded Pipes and Fittings - Vintage DIY Industrial Shelving (3/4" × 60", Grey)

I purchased this pipe for use as pipe clamps. With Bessey parallel clamps, I found I was often 1 or 2 inches too short, and the 3feet clamps with pipe clamps provide a throat of about six inches more than a Bessey clamp. Read on for my impressions after testing the clamps. -- OILED: The pipes are oiled to prevent rust, and a simple wipe with a cloth cleaned them up adequately for use as pipe clamps. -- NICE THREADS: The threads are nicely cut, very clean, with no burrs, even from shipping, and are not painted or anodized, just steel. -- FIT CLAMPS PERFECTLY: The 3/4 inch pipe threaded into the clamp perfectly and went deep into the clamp for a solid connection. See the attached picture. -- NO DEFLECTION: I applied the clamps on a piece of 30-inch long, 1-inch thick maple which was perfectly flat, and set the pipe on the board. When tightening the clamp to the maximum pressure that I could apply with both hands (much more than would ever be done in practice when gluing wood) and inspecting the gap between the flat board and the pipe, I saw no gap. The pipe remained perfectly straight. See the attached picture. -- Soft Steel: The black pipe, iron or steel, is fairly soft, and the pipe clamps will leave deep gouges. Over a long period of use, the gouges will build up, and the clamp may tend to catch on the gouges as one slides the pipe clamp up and down the pipe, which will be annoying but will not affect the functionality. -- GOOD PRICE: These clamps were about ¼ the cost of the same length clamp at the brick-and-mortar store.

Not only did the product come undamaged in perfect condition in a very timely manner, but, the seller sent me a personalized message ensuring I was happy with the product. The color is a perfect dark black. Material is very sturdy and heavy duty. If I was interested in using pipes for decor this would be the go to purchase. I personally bought these to use with pipe clamps for woodworking, are there cheaper options I could have went with? yes definitely. I did not want to deal with buying 10 foot pipes from home depot and cutting them down to 5 feet. The ease of use is great. They came well greased/oiled up which is a plus, it prevents them scratching one another in transit.

These pipes are painted black and shipped with rust prevention coating oil. The oil is sticky, so it must be cleaned up before use. I highly recommend using vinyl gloves for this. The pipes are threaded at both ends and do not come with a plastic cap to protect the threads. However, the threads were found to work perfectly with the Bessey Pipe Clamps. These pipes have the same wall thickness, strength, and structure as galvanized pipes, at almost 1/2 the cost. They are painted black so they can mark the workpiece. I would use a butcher paper or something to protect the appearance of the workpiece during the glue-up.

The product came just as advertised and worked perfectly. I only needed 2 but the product only comes as a 4 pack, thats ok though, shrugs.. I used these pipes for a strange application, I put a pull up bar up in my garage. These pipes were just the right length. I now do pull ups and bar hangs in my garage, Grip strength improving. Lats too.

Purchased for new Bessey wood clamps. Excellent quality, heavy duty great threads on both ends of pipe. I will be purchasing another set for sure.

Have been using these pipes with my bessey par clamp, they work great.

Works well with separate clamps for Woodworking. Don't get fooled by other brands, buy the proper ones for Woodworking, like these. I'll be purchasing more.
