Just as expected
Good product if you're looking to create a Bluetooth speaker and want to use your own amplifier. Great price, low input voltage and low power consumption (which means you can drive it from a battery for a few days), small form factor, and excellent quality of audio (as well as PCB quality). You can output the signal using the 3 small pads on the board (be careful to not short these pads!), and you can power it with USB C, which is a great feature!

Works fine
Mine didn't have any problems but I soldered an antenna extension to it anyway. Before doing that I wasn't able to walk anywhere in the house and lose connection. My boards didn't actually have + - labels so I just went by the images here showing the + is where it says "Batt". Ran fine from USB-C and now using it in a portable build where it's powered by my amplifier's on board 5V output. Added a cheap ground loop isolator in between the module and the amp. Yes there is that voice alert about the successful connection etc but I get a kick out of those. In my case I just leave the volume turned down some when initially connecting.

Passable...just.
I have not had the bad experiences as others. The first one I tried worked just fine so no need to try the others yet. Mine were not sold in a sheet so not sure what that's about, mine were all sepearated. Range is poor but presumably you could attach a length of wire and remedy that. I wouldn't expect much range out of that onboard 'antenna'. Probably the worst issue to me is POWER ON, CONNECTING, CONNECT speech blasting through the speakers as others have mentioned. If you have a system with a static volume setting, you're gonna hate life when that comes on. I thought about adding a timed mute circuit to quiet it but that would only work if it was previously paired. A new pairing would not present the question, but it would blast the answer 'Bluetooth Pairing Successful' at 100db. Overall it is just a passable device in my case. Everything seems to be fatally flawed in some manner these days.

Major FAIl!! Range is HORRIBLE!! One out of 5 Died/Dead
I have to return these. I tried 3 of the 5. I wasn't gonna separate the last 2 boards to test. They come conjoined, mine in pairs. You have to break them apart. Could this be part of the problem? I was careful with the one I separated. One came alone as there were five. That was the first one I tested. It died on me. This was after some testing which determined the range/reception was abhorrent! So I thought okay, maybe that's a bad one. It happens, no biggie. The range issue was the same with 2 of the others. I gave up. My advice is not to waste your money or time on these. Reading the reviews, I feel like I'm in bizarro world. I really wanted these to be good and looked forward to using them on a few projects. It's truly a shame; because the sound quality seemed very good! Nonetheless it's a FAIL! Range in a car maybe isn't an issue. But if you are physically integrating it into an existing radio or putting it behind a dashboard, I can't see these working at all. If my body was between the phone and the exposed board on the counter it lost the connection. If I was more than ten feet away the it dropped. To make sure the problem wasn't my phone I put my JBL Flip4 in the same spot and had no problem. As a mater of fact it was connected while I was researching and eventually going with another product (much more expensive BTW), I had walked into another room maybe 30 feet away when it dawned on me that, hey yeah, this is how Bluetooth Audio is supposed to WORK! lol SAVE YOURSELF, STAY AWAY!

Great little board
At 5 for $10 it can't be beat. So far I have hooked up 3 of the boards and each has worked great, An old usb phone charger for power sent by a USB C cable gives a nice quiet power supply, The out put sent to a variety of preamps and amps all worked great. Listened to both MP3 and FLAC files. They both sounded great! I am going to order another set to give as gifts. Couldn't be more pleased. Great buy!
