I bought this and a foldable bottle for a couple of pounds with a standard size thread hoping the thread would fit. Can confirm it does so can be attached to a foldable bottle and squeezed out into a cup , pan or other bottle like a sawyer filter, but with a carbon filter which the sawyer filter doesn't have. Seems well made and of good quality.

Bought for my son (13yrs) he loved it although the instructions say it comes with a bag but it’s not very clear if it means the packet it comes in or if there should be a separate bag that comes with in. If it should be the former then it would be helpful if that’s made clear on the packaging (my son is like a rabid dog with it comes to opening things)

I can’t really say for sure, but less than 2 days ago starting boasting to my friend about never needing to carry a water bottle again.... anyways. What a mug did I look after the next night having chronic sickness and diarrhoea l. It was the second time I used it and after the first time was feeling pretty confident in using the straw.... However after using it for most of the day Saturday... On the Sunday night was gifted with the most chronic sickness and diarrhoea I’ve ever had!! Followed by a hot sweat which covered every pour in my body... not even tap water would stay down... I can’t say weather or not it was directly to do with the straw as there was a delay of a day between using it and the chronic sickness that followed a day later.... I have no idea what else could have brought on symptoms like that though... I will use the straw again just to make sure... however if I do link the chronic illness as a direct result of the straw. I will be doing everything in my power to stop my fellow consumers being false advertised to in one of the most dangerous ways imaginable... To be continued

I drank a few litres of lake and stream water and had no stomach issues, so I guess it worked. The downsides are, that it does not keep the water in, so I could not keep it on, as water kept leaking. So instead, I had to attach and detach the filter to a camel bag tube each time when I wanted to drink.
