Basket Muzzle for Small to Large Dogs - Breathable, Prevents Biting for Grooming & Scavenging, Suitable for Husky, Golden Retriever, Labrador & Beagle

Note: When measuring my dog, I added half an inch intentionally to the snout circumference to allow for a bit of growth, as he is only 9 months old. Q: Does this muzzle offer enough room for a full pant? A: The design allows for a moderate pant on a large dog (i.e. my German shepherd / Labrador retriever mix), though not quite a full pant. It would need to be taller in height (vertical/nose to chin) to allow a full pant for my dog, but this is a great start for folks who want or need to condition their dog to wearing a muzzle. Q: Is it easy to feed treats through this muzzle? A: As long as you are using small training treats that will fit through the holes, yes! Q: Is it easy to take off of my dog? A: Incredibly easy to remove, yes. You just unclip it like any regular collar clip. Q: Is it comfortable for my dog? A: Make sure that you've measured correctly, and it should be decently comfortable. The key is to slowly desensitize your dog over the course of a few weeks. I recommend starting with a large bowl and training your dog to voluntarily put their face into the bowl to eat treats at the bottom while you hold onto the bowl between both hands, to mimic the way you would need to hold the muzzle. Q: Why would I need this muzzle over the other options out there? A: This muzzle allows for a wider pant, or otherwise allows the dog to breathe better while exercising. It is also softer and a little less painful when your dog inevitably decides to muzzle punch you, another dog, or another person. You should consider training your dog to wear a muzzle if you have a dog with any type of reactivity, be it fearful, exciteable, or aggressive reactivity. Q: Will this muzzle lessen barking, growling, or whining? A: The purpose of this muzzle, like any other muzzle, is to prevent your dog from biting, not to prevent barking. No muzzle will truly prevent barking. Please do NOT buy a muzzle with the intention to make your dog stop vocalizing. Talk to a local behavioral-educated dog trainer to manage unwanted vocalizations. Q: How can I make it easier to encourage my dog to willingly put their face in it? A: I have found that smearing some canned dog food along the bottom half of the inside, just in the very front, and setting the muzzle in the freezer (with the straps clipped on the "wrong" side of the muzzle so they don't get stuck out weird) for 20-30 minutes, really helps with sensitive dogs who need that extra bit of encouragement. Make sure to hold the muzzle for them for the first few days, even when it is clipped together on them, to prevent head shaking and other less than ideal behaviors.

I purchased several other muzzles from this company and somehow someway my dog has managed to scratch a hole & slip out of it. I purchased this Hard plastic Muzzle, it has worked very well. With some modifications made to it. I did order size small for my Maltipoo he hasn't been able to break through the plastic the muzzle with the modifications for him to keep it onto his face. I just use some small zip ties and placed where the muzzle was a little loose. I purposely waited a while before submitting a review to see how well it will hold up. And I must say it's held up very well after several months of wear. My dog can breathe in it, he can bark, he can even drink water while wearing it. My only recommendation will be able to create a xxsmall. I'm sure it will probably fit well on dogs with a longer snout. Overall I have no regrets about purchasing this muscle from this vendor.

I am so impressed by the quality of this muzzle, I might just buy another! I have a Baskerville I have been using for training but I have either wanted a biothane or the vinyl one, The vinyl one I wanted is over $100!!! and for a muzzle, I just couldn't justify that. I have been occasionally searching google for a vinyl muzzle and saw nothing up until the other day, when this one came up. For the price, I decided to give it a shot. It came in yesterday and I love it, the buckle is extremely useful, It's not massive like somewhere it just looks ridiculous, the price is perfect, it fits my Dane x Mastiff mix and it was super easy to "customize". The whole were a little too small for giving my dog treats so I decided to cut a larger whole, I used a box opener and it cut so easily and it isn't sharp at all. My only two suggestions would be to offer different collar head straps and larger whole for breathing and treats. I also really want charms for my muzzle, make this seller can offer those in the future :)

This muzzle does the job. It’s lightweight, breathable, waterproof, and most importantly prevents my little monster from swallowing rocks while on our runs. The biggest issue with this muzzle is the fit. After measuring once, measuring twice, measuring a third time, and once more just to be sure, I ordered one and ended up with a size too small. Luckily (unluckily 🤔) for me, I own far too many dogs and the smaller size was kept for my Corgi with a bad attitude. I ordered a size up and it fit my Australian Cattle Dog nicely. Second problem was the shipping method. The muzzle arrived folded and did not want to retain proper shape, it rubbed and dug into my dog’s face. It was easily fixed with a pot of boiling water and a jar to reshape it but it was a bit annoying to have to do so straight out of the package. Otherwise this muzzle has done its job and is a nice cheap holdover while I save up enough to buy a custom fit muzzle for my little rock eater. I feel it important to mention that NO muzzle is bite proof, except perhaps a fighting muzzle. While this muzzle is nice and sturdy and can help prevent bites a truly dedicated dog can easily pull this muzzle off and/or bite through it. Be aware. Do not put yourself or others in unnecessary danger due to relying on a tool that isn’t equipped for the job.

Put comfortably on my dog’s muzzle. Did well to help him stop picking up food and garbage while we were walking.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Poor pant room, and a tight fit even with following the measurements of my narrow dog to a tee. It also has sharp edges and a horrible chemical smell that will not go away. This is the only muzzle my muzzle trained dog has pawed at to get out of. I also saw where this company tried to use the name of a reputable small muzzle maker to try and get sales. Save your money and look elsewhere for one of the small companies popping up who make custom sized muzzles. This one is not it!

Leider passt der Maulkorb irgendwie garnicht. Die Kanten sind sehr scharf und kein vernünftiger Abstand zu den Augen einstellbar. Material sehr steif. Für mal 10 Minuten im Bus bestimmt ok aber für längeres tragen ungeeignet.

Great quality product, for the price you paying it literally free! Similar muzzles cost £100+ hand made to size. So we gave this one a try and it's great! We dont really need on, but when we would need one we have it handy. Probably at the Vet's. Size L fits perfectly our American Staffy. Delivery were 2-3 months, arrived within a week or so, very quickly. I highly recommend!

This works amazing for my reactive Australian shepherd. This is the most bite-proof muzzle we've tried and does not make him look scary because you can't see it from a distance. I had to modify it to make sure he couldn't take it off, but for the price I was incredibly impressed!

best muzzle yet for my golden labrador it works a treat

The measurements given in the pictures are referencing the sizes the muzzle will fit, not the actual muzzle itself. I can only say what the XL measurements are as thats the one I purchased. The actual measurmenta of the muzzle itself are as follows: 15.5 " circumfrence, 3.5" along the top of the nose, & 5.5" from nose to chin down the front. I am giving the actual measurements to help anyone who is unsure if it will fit their dogs. My GSDs measurements himself are: 4.75" long muzzle & 12.5" circumference. This muzzle fits him decently with a bit of adjustment and gives him a good amount of room to pant (not a full pant but better then I expected) I was skeptical of this muzzle because of the price point. It feels like it is well made. It did come a little bent out of the package so I had to shape it back to form a bit but that isn't really a big issue, I took a star away for that. I would not say this muzzle is absolutely bite-proof, but does a fairly decent job of it. If a dog really wanted to bite they could probably find a way to do so, but I would say this works well in general for most reactive dogs in training. I haven't used it too much out if the house, but my boy doesn't seem to mind wearing it (I have muzzle trained him with different muzzle so this wasn't his first muzzle). Its light and let's other dogs see his facial communication well. I might cut open the holes near his mouth a bit bigger to give treats, but still undecided on that. All and all, a good muzzle for the price and works well for what it is.
