Parkland - The JFK Assassination Story [DVD]

Well made film about the immediate aftermath of President Kennedy,s assassination. Interesting take on J.Harvey Oswald,s mother, fine performances from all.

A story telling you about John F Kennedys assassination well I think this is a marvellous movie and tells of things we didn't know. The cast did a fantastic job putting feelings into place. Now it's part of Americas history but something that will never begotten all around the world. I rated this an A grade plus for the great entertainment that surrounds this movie and a collectors must, plenty of action suspense and fast paced so if your interested in some history this will be your thing, This is only my view and my opinion so have a look see and see what you think. Enjoy!

This is an excellent film; no hunky heroes, no silky-smooth sex scenes, no 'shoot outs', unless you count the shockingly realistic portrayal of JFK's assassination as seen at a distance by a hapless member of the public. A true story, engagingly told through superb acting and well-paced directing. I felt was there. Recommended.

At least one thing was factually wrong: Abraham Zapruder was standing on the plinth filming on his own in the film, whereas his assistant was standing on it with him to steady him in real life. I'm a little confused why the film makers changed this for the film. The get out clause 'based on a true story' could be applied, I suppose, but I still don't see WHY this change was made. Otherwise, great film, effectively recreating the atmosphere and tension of the day.

Really interesting, if you’re interested in history.

Yes apart from the silly camera work and the way they got hold of johnson to get him to the car and the plane, there's real film of johnson walking freely to the car, it wasn't bad oh and if you still think Oswald did it you must be bonkers zurbruder didn't seem that upset in real film interviews as for the secret service it been said by proper investigators they were drunk the night before

The fusion of 1960s characters, behaviours and scenarios with modern-day film making techniques really works

Its a great movie and the story tells you all about what happened next after Kennedy died. Its been researched from the real people who were there.
