Full-length impeller vanes and "cast" style impeller (the preferred design)...
Nice looking pump with the preferred impeller design (thick vanes like the original cast-impeller style pump and the vanes go all the way to the perimeter of the impeller).The new Pontiac pumps have a folded-fin impeller which is inferior and won't keep you car as cool. Original-style pumps had a cast impeller with thicker vanes which "seal" better against the backing plate (allowing less cavitation). This pump is of that design and has longer vanes than the cheap GMB / Auto-Zone pump.
