This cpu has a reputation for overheating, at least at launch. A number of fixes have been released since. If you are thinking about getting one for gaming make sure you have a good cooling system in your PC case. And remember some games will drive your system insane regardless, it’s just the way they are programmed. Otherwise no issues with my CPU at the time of writing.

Didn't read the bit that doesn't support internal graphics so half of motherboard wasted. Still fast tho

0x12F (12F in hardware info) ^See that code? Make sure your Motherboard BIOS has that microcode for your CPU. It's the microcode that has the Vmin SHIFT instability fix. You NEED the BIOS version that has that microcode instruction. If not, your CPU will not last long. Also, be VERY CAREFUL buying any used 13th/14th Gen Intel CPU. As it's not readily apparent if the CPU sold to you has degraded. Keep ALL receipts. On to the product itself; This thing is a productivity monster. Cooling it can be a bit of a problem, but even without overclocking this CPU performs spectacularly right out of the box. I recommend this CPU over the rest of 14th gen intel to be honest with you. i9 runs too hot and generally not worth it. This cpu hits the sweetspot for performance and cooling. I recommend a good tower cooler like Noctua or Thermalright to cool this CPU properly. Anything under that will just not work well enough. On the AIO side, a 240mm can work, but a 360mm is recommended. I use this for Video Rendering and Gaming, and it crushes it on both of those tasks.

Ottimo processore, la velocità è molto simile ad una 12 generazione overcloccata, ma con stabilità. Non surriscalda grazie ad una buona pasta termica ma soprattutto agli aggiornamenti del BIOS d'obbligo. Consiglio !

You can't run this CPU with a fan cooler! You need a 360 or a 240 cpu liquid cooler iao! Thermalright is what i'm using. Make shure PL1 is 125W and PL2 is 253W in bios the recommended intel settings, make shure bios is updated. You are good to go... Be carreful clicking on things they open so damn fast you may fall of your chair haha! An absolute BEAST better that ANY AMD even the 9950X3D. This is INSANE POWER seriously, it's so fun! And it perform similar to the 7800X3d in games... but I game only around 1 hour per day the other hours I do stuff with the computer which is exactly why this cpu beat amd... it's about being smart! You can also tweak voltage, adjust fans curve, even using OCCT max stress testing I never hit more than 85 celcius for a flash of a second. Imagine the dude who buy an X3D gaming PC and doesn't game that much but use the PC a ton for other things ... running the 8 little amd cores he is only unlocking the x3d power while gaming other than that it's a cheap cpu. Anyway, highly recommend this, for people who know what they are doing! A++

Received item with seal missing on the box. On closer inspection, the CPU and sticker were still intact inside the box. Checking the CPU chips surface itself did not reveal anything. Will need to test the chip if it is working later or return the item. My sensing is that the item has been opened and used and resell again. Really bad!
