Review: The real skinny on the gorgeous dress... - Ok - here's the real skinny on this dress. Yes, it looks gorgeous in person, and the train is sick - worth the price alone if you ask me. But the slight downsides: - The way the lace/embroidery is designed makes you look a tad thicker in the middle than strictly necessary. It's just cut in a way that's not as flattering as it could be, but given that you'll likely wear this where people will see you at all angles instead of just head on makes this matter less, since other angles are still stunning. - The material is, as would be expected, a little cheaper with the price, and it doesn't breathe at all. Polyester generally doesn't, no, but this seems particularly more toasty than the average red carpet dress. Just while trying it on in my bedroom I got a little perspire-y. Since I plan to wear it in New York in May during the evening, I'm hoping it'll be nice and chilly so I won't have to be concerned about that. And, again, for the price you can live with certain issues. Hair might need to be up though. - Since there are about 10 sellers here on desertcart that sell the exact same thing, I'm a bit terrified that someone else will stumble on to this dress before the event, but I really can't imagine there will be that many women willing to wear something this out there. I like dramatic and stunning, not everyone does. If you're that kind of girl - welcome to the club. Some details: I'm 5'8", about 130, but I plan to be about 125 for the event. I got a size 6, not just because people mentioned it running a bit small but also so that the dress would be long enough in heels. My red carpet dress heels are 5-6" in height - they're beautiful and comfy, but it's tough to find dresses long enough when you're already tall-ish. The dress *just* reaches the floor, and comes up a bit when I walk. I'd rather it be just a tad longer, but I'm hoping that with a tiny bit less weight on me it'll hang a little lower and hit that sweet spot for length. The train is definitely very long. I don't care and I'm used to people stepping on my train. I can gather it up and hold it if it becomes a big problem. Holding the train comfortably in one hand, the dress is still long enough in back that it won't look like you're hiking it up. The size 6 is a bit loose around the hips, so I may have to get it taken in a bit there, but I tend to have a wider back and rib-area than average, so I think it should work on my upper body and the bottom may not be as noticeable as I think. Again, for the price, a little alteration isn't going to be a huge hit to my wallet. I haven't decided if I'll keep the nude cups that are sewn into the top or if I'll wear my own stick-on bra for strapless/backless dresses - link to the type of thing I'm talking about below. I'm about a C/D cup so both are definitely not necessary. Both cups blend well against my (caucasian) skin, and the sheerness of the dress is just sexy enough without going over to the dark side of the sexyness force. If you decide to keep this though - cut off the hanging ribbons. No way to hide those in this dress, and you'll look like a newb if people see them. Fashion Forms Women's Ultralite Nubra,Nude,D I'll post pics when I have some that don't include my ridiculously messy bedroom behind me. Review: The prettiest dress I own, great quality... - I brought a couple dress from this company first one was applique only on the top. I am 5'7 165 usually wear 10/12 us size. I ordered 14 way tight and the other style fabric was stiff and thick. Since the dress was well made I decided to give it another try. I ordered this in size 16 yes that sounds large but 2nd time was a charm it fit perfect. It looks like it was custom made for me. If you saw this dress in the mall or bridal boutique it would cost $300 up. I did remove the cups because they were weirdly placed. I am wearing this with 4 inch and I still have a foot train. My sister will love this dress she wanted her sisters to wear burgandy. This dress is well made looks rich without breaking the bank. Warning tho top is sheer and there is no stretch. Bottom has a mini shirt lining and fabric is stretchy chiffon and not as heavy as it looks. It does run very small size up or two. If you have curves and hips this dress is worth it makes you look like a million bucks.Shipping was fast came earlier than expected.:-)

The prettiest dress I own, great quality...

Zipper quality is a big problem
The dress itself is absolutely beautiful! The quality leaves much to be desired. I wasn't even able to try this dress on due to the quality of the zipper. The zipper separated immediately leaving me trying to put the zipper back on its track for over an hour. Once I got the zipper back on, the zipper would skip and separate, yet again, when pulled up. There is also nothing stopping the zipper from coming completely off the ends. I plan on replacing the zipper myself because I love the look of the dress, but I'm stuck with several hours of work for something that shouldn't have been a problem to begin with, so, unless you're skilled at replacing zippers, I would spend your money elsewhere and find a different dress.

Small in torso, very long, entire bodice is see-thru
The dress is beautiful. The skirt is a nicely weighted fabric & was a higher quality than I expected, bumping my score from 3 to 4 stars. As others have noted the rhinestones do fall off from the time you take it out of the bag, but in the time that I tried on two sizes I only lost 4 rhinestones total, which honestly nobody else would ever know. The netting area that makes up the bodice has no stretch & feels VERY cheap. It does run small. I always wear a 10 in dresses (designer or not) because I have a broad rib cage, following other reviewers to size up & the chart I ordered the 12 & 14. The 12 fit fine in the skirt & the abdomen was very fitted, but fit, the bust area tho...I gave up on trying to zip. The 14 fit fine, large in the skirt, but even then my chest was completely flattened. I'm only a B cup, it's not like I'm heavily endowed here. I looked at every picture multiple times & read many reviews, I knew the bodice was see thru but I had hoped that was just where the lace didn't cover (chest, shoulders, sides, back)...no, you could see full side boob (pretty much the front) & then the foam cup. As I ordered this for a military ball I'd caution those that may have a judgemental audience, unless you're very tiny or have time to create an additional liner or use a long line bra, it may be considered inappropriate. I had planned to write a review cautioning the larger sizes about the size of the lace appliqué, on the 12 the lace seemed small, like the appliqué is the same size for a size 0-12, but the appliqué on the 14 actually was larger, so just be aware of that. It is very long, I'm 5'7" and even with 4" heals the front of the 14 still draped at least an inch on the ground, the 12 was a bit shorter, but the heals still would have needed to be tall. I returned both. I would have kept 1 if the bodice had been a little better constructed. As there are so many similar styles available on Amazon I think I'll just try another because it was beautiful.
