Healthy hair coloring
This worked great! I just did a henna treatment last night. I boiled water then steeped 3 bags of black tea until hot/warm not boiling. I added my own vinegar from pickled beets I had marinating. I welcomed the red color from the beets over the orange color of henna. I then let sit for 5 hours. I washed my hair then left the henna in overnight with a shower cap on. It was runny and a big mess but that was me using too much tea/water I rinsed out in the morning with only water. I then mixed the indigo with bottled water and a pinch of salt. I used significantly less indigo than henna because I only wanted to darken the henna over my edges and in my bang with indigo. I put the indigo on as soon as I mixed it. I let it sit without a shower cap until it started turning blue/black then covered with a shower cap and left it in for 2 hours. The indigo did stain everything that it touched even the floor, walls, my nails not just towels. This is some strong color that bleach didn’t help. To my surprise with only 2 hours of the indigo use I washed it out using conditioner and I am happy with the color it took very well. Another popular brand of indigo gave me crippling migraines years ago so I skipped the indigo for years. This indigo I feel a small headache but that’s from broken sleep due to this being on overnight and running and a slight effect from the indigo which I felt going into my scalp since I must have some kind of sensitivity to indigo. But this one is not bad. I’m happy to have found this.

I'm pretty impressed with the results..
First off: I didn't use any instructions, on the packaging, I watched YouTube videos before I came across this organic coloring solution, So I already knew that there was issues with the instructions from what people were saying on YouTube videos.. Most people fail because they don't understand that both the henna and indigo have to be activated before you can use them as dye.. you can't just mix with water and then just throw it on your hair.. It's like an 8-hour process all together.. The henna, and the indigo both have to be activated before the dyes will release into your hair.. It's a process that takes about 4 hours setting, and 2 hours applied to the hair.. Hannah has to be mixed with warm water to the consistency of yogurt, I added lemon juice, black tea, and iodized salt, Then I mix it together, covered and let it sit for 4 hours, Then I applied it to my hair, covered my hair, and let it work for 2 hours, Then I washed it out with just plain water.. Most people say the indigo don't have to sit for 4 hours but, I ended up letting mine sit for 10 minutes and then applying to my hair and next time I think I'm going to let it sit for 4 hours, because the indigo didn't come out as black as it could have been, and as black as I have seen when others used it.. I mixed black tea, salt, warm water, and lemon juice in the indigo.. After the indigo I washed it out with plain water first, Then I used head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner to wash it out a second time.. I am very happy with the results, I might do a second application of the indigo.. I have heard people say it's supposed to get darker over time but I don't know, This is my first time using this solution.. Definitely satisfied with the product, I will definitely use it again in the near future..

Opened Package, Missing Gloves, Poor Condition
Very disappointed with this purchase. The product arrived already opened and looked like it had been used before. There were supposed to be gloves included, but they were missing entirely. On top of that, the packaging was in horrible condition, which made the whole thing feel careless and poorly handled. I definitely did not expect to receive something like this when buying a new product. Overall, a very frustrating experience.

2 step process better for stubborn grays
I have used this dye many times for gray hairs. It works beautifully. Check my tips below for better coverage. I also like that this color DOES NOT WASH OUT of my hair! I only begin to see grays at my roots as my hair grows out. So I am only doing root coverage now after the initial all over color my first time. WEAR GLOVES! PRO TIP: If you are going for a very dark brown or soft black and have stubborn grays, a 2 part process might be more successful for you. First, you are going to use JUST the henna powder paste. Let sit 2 hours. You MUST keep the color WET or else it will not penetrate the hair. So cover your head with a plastic bag. I put an old t shirt over the top of that to catch drips. After the 2 hours, rinse. You will need to add some kind of conditioner or shampoo to rinse because it is VERY gritty and you need some kind of product to be able to get it all out. Then let your hair dry. Use a blow dryer or if you’ve got a full day, air dry. The henna alone on grays WILL make your grays orange like clown hair! Be patient. Step 2 is coming! Then you do a layer of the indigo powder paste alone. The paste activates better with very hot tap water. It should be thick like yogurt. Cover your hair with the paste and then cover your head with a bag again. Wait 2 hours. Rinse again and then you are done! If the water coming out of your hair is still a bit colored, put an old t shirt over your pillowcase that night and then scrub hair a bit more vigorously the next day. This 2 part step might make some peoples scalps a bit tender. So be gentle when rinsing. If you don’t have time for both of these steps when you do root touch ups, I have found that if I mix the colors like the box says, the 1 step process works ok. Not quite as dark, but if you keep the mixture wet and leave it on 2 hours you can do a rush job for roots.
