Beautiful piece of metal with a good hardness on the blade edge. I soaked the handle wrap by pouring boiling hot water over it and left it to dry. It really finished tightening the weave and experienced no running of the color. Light sanding of the weave with 800 grit and then a quick wipe down with leather preservative and it’s shockingly comfortable even with bare hands. This is so much more than I was expecting it to be. Beautiful and exceptionally functional.

So the axe was not very sharp but I took care of that. The handle is wrapped very well to my surprise. Also to my surprise was the amount of detail of the acid etching designs on the blade. Mine is as good looking as the pics they advertise online. I’m using mine in a rotation of throwing hatchets and after about 6 throws it started to loosen up a little bit. I ended up hammering two separate cone wedges in and now it is as tight as can be and am going on 40+ throws without it loosening a bit. And after all those throws the leather wrapping on the handle is still holding up well though I imagine it will end up coming off with more tosses. The weight is also very nice. All in all a very solid 4 star axe/hatchet

poor quality wood and metal the head of the axe cracked in two at the eye on both sides and came apart after a single use. nice sheath and design though

The quality of the axe is good. However, the axe head is pretty disappointing compared to its pictures. Unfortunately it is too close to Christmas to return and get another one. The wood grain is awful compared to the advertised pictures and the axe head details are not 3d like they are in the image with a lot less detail.

This axe is stout! I have large hands, and I was surprised at the thickness of the handle. It has heft to it, as well as a good edge on the blade. This is an attractive axe that can serve as a decorative piece or a working tool. It arrived heavily oiled and in perfect condition.
