My son goes through a lot of bug habitats, but this one is made of a sturdier material than most of the cheaper mesh ones you'll find out there. It's not too big, but bug enough to house some specimens for transport.

I take it with me ony walk every morning. It holds nicely around the waste and is small enough to not be too conspicuous. Ive collected all kinds of stuff, caterpillars, frogs, Moss balls, plant samples... Highly recommend.

This would be great for butterflies, caterpillars, etc. It might be difficult to get lightening bugs inside and keep them inside. The quality is excellent. I just used it for part of a costume.
