Back in the olden-days, kites were made of balsa wood and paper - when disintegrated under high-wind and high altitudes. This is modern times - with kites made of indestructible polyethylene plastics - thank goodness for science and chemistry. My Granddaughter and I have put these kites high in the Mojave Desert sky as high as they could go - barely visible to the naked eye - strong winds blowing - hours of flight-time. They always come back undamaged and ready for the next flight. The only issue we had was one of the braces did not quite fit correctly and we had to super-glue it in the place. No problem. Stability, airflow, strength, flyability, easy of everything - all five stars. Price-wise - not 10 or 25 cents as kites were when I was a kid - but back then, kites only lasted one or two flights - these kites will last years.

I was happily surprised at the quality of these kites, thru are cute, fairy easi to set up w sting. One of them doesn't want to fly too well I don't know what's wrong with it. But the other ones do all the kids were out there and it was super fun. I'll have to find a case or a bag to put them in it comes in plastic packaging. They come rolled up. And I just rolled them up and put them back in the plastic. Nice, I think it was a good deal.

All three feel like good quality. They aren't too big, so kids can manage them. They are easy to put together for an adult as well. I feel like the tails area bit long for smaller kids where you may want to keep the kite a little lower, but they can easily be tied back.

I bought this set of 3 kites (each complete with its own spool of string) back in March 2024 as Easter gifts for my 3 grandchildren, ages 2, 6, and 11). They were easy to set up, each taking anywhere from 2-5 minutes. With a good windy day at hand, it didn't take a lot of effort to get them up in the sky. (The 2 year old was only given the string once the kite was up, and even then, I helped.) The kids and I thoroughly enjoyed them, not only on that first day, but on many days since then. It is now September of 2024 and all 3 are still sky-worthy. The key to keeping these kites usable for a length of time is to wind the string back on the spool with care and to fold up the tails and secure them with a rubber band, then lay them flat for storage. At roughly $25 this was a great deal for a set of 3 well-made kites. I definitely recommend them!

I’m giving the a 3 only because this was a 3 pack of kites and only one kite worked properly the other two are awful. It made me feel like it is a little scam to make you buy a 3 pack. My butterfly kite is amazing. That kite gets 5 stars over its beauty and joy it brought us as well as neighbors that walked by to watch us fly kites and renew those fond childhood memories some of us had and it was the first time for others to see a kite flown. I wish I could get my money back for the two kites that were a waste but I can’t. I’m just glad we are getting to enjoy at least one of them. I added videos to prove my point. The third kite is broken after 2 days so I’m not able to show you that one. I’d say if you are trying to get a 3 pack like I thought we were doing to make sure everyone got one DO NOT BUY THIS. But if you don’t mind a one out of 3 to work then go for it. One was great quality.

The octopus is by far the most stable kite. It can fly unattended for hours as long as the wind remains relatively steady. In contrast, the other kites tend to spiral downward and crash when the wind picks up.

Squid kite doesn't fly. Dragon kite, a poll fell out on first flight, while in the air and could not be found. Stingray kite, side polls came in 2 pieces, sewed into seam, would not stay together. So, it couldn't fly. So, only 1 out of 4 kites fly. I had the kites for over 30 days when they were taken out of the package, so they could not be returned. Ot was such a terrible experience, my one chold gave up and said he "never wants to fly a kite again". Honestly, the experience was ruined for me, before even leaving the house. Total garbage.
