Great iMac addition
Great add on for my iMac, allows me to have additional ports and easy to access without having to plug into the back of the computer. Very easy to fit and it doesn’t scratch the iMac. Fast response when plugging in devices and great value for money as I got it on sale, although worth the buy full price too

Good piece of kit
Looks good and seems to work well so far. Had to fiddle with USB c connector on the back of the iMac, had to wiggle it and push to get it to connect, but that was probably due to my iMac being opened up recently to have extra ram fitted. Bit fiddly to fit under the screen, but once I got the hang of it, it fits solidly. I only gave 4 stars, as I think its a bit over priced - £35/£40 would be about right in my opinion. But I do like it! PS I have not tried the front USBc and micro SD ports yet.

It fits, perfectly.
Although a little expensive, I thought, it really looks the part. It feels solid and well made and fits perfectly into the grooves under the screen. Why Apple chose to place these behind no-one knows.

Satechi USB and Data Card clamp on Hub for IMac
Having purchased a refurbished near new IMac, it only had the smaller USB C type ports, so having to find a Hub, the Satechi was about the cheapest on Amazon and as I only need it for backing up it is fine. It won't stream video but should transfer video files ok. Works out of the box and doesn't need any software to recognise it. A plus is that the Hub has 3 x USB A (normal size plugs) plus SD and Micro SD card slots so you can transfer data from Cab cam cards, Camera cards and data cards. It is available in Blue metallic so it matches to my IMac colour which is nice. Would recommend.

An excellent addition to my Mac 24
Really pleased with this USB clamp which is easy to fit. Very nicely made and the colour matches the Mac perfectly- in fact it looks as if it was part of the original computer when shipped. Really useful as it provides easily accessible, additional connectivity whilst only using one of the rear ports. Provides both data and power to accessories so ideal for charging mobile phones etc. Thoroughly recommended.

Adds very convenient inputs to the front of your iMac
I have an iMac 27" and it is a right pain in the rear end to plug in my various USB cables or SD cards. But this has 3 x USB connectors now sitting right beneath my screen, plus the USB C (which I have used a generic USBC - USB cable to give me a fourth connection, as I have no USBC items) and the SD card reader along with a micro-SD card reader. This last item is extremely handy with my various cameras / drones that all use micro-SD cards, no more fiddling around the back of the monitor to plug them in. Looks the business as well, exact match for the iMac and, really, ought to be standard with all iMacs, as it makes life so much easier!

Cumbersome to use, different colour than iMac Pro's, SD slot is not UHS II. Not a good value
The idea of this product is genius. The implementation is so-so. There are several things I don't like about this product, considering Satechi's brand quality: 1) colour not same as my space grey iMac Pro - it is lighter. Satechi's saying this is due to different manufacturing process. I say - bollocks. Apple is not making the iMac pro in 50 shades of grey. 2) the installation was relatively simple, but not as easy as I thought it will be. The tightening with the wheel needs higher pressure than expected 3) 2 out of the 3 usb3 ports are very tight and I can barely insert a flash drive/cable in it. In order to do so I have to counter pressure the iMac from behind. This defeats the purpose of a simple usage. Every time when I plug something in or out, I need to use both my hands. 4) the SD card slot is only UHS-I. This is unacceptable. Why they cheap out here is over my mind. I knew about this disadvantage prior buying and this is why I was holding on for many months, hoping they will release an updated version. Also, when you insert a SD card, it is sticking out quite a lot. Only the chip is inside. It took me many plug ins until I got familiar with it. 5) the usb-c port is not 40 Gb/s. It provides only usb 3 speed. As you see, there are many cons in this expensive product. It's not all bad, but I think Satechi did wrong in 90% of the things possible to go wrong with. This is just not acceptable for such a brand with similar to Apple accessories price tags. If you take a look at they Mac Mini hub, you will also find many negative comments about it. It's time for Satechi to step up their game and release products only when they are perfectly thought out and working as one would expect.

Colour matches the back of the iMac (almost)
Easy fit, all ports work fine, but I bought it because it was advertised as a 'match' for the blue 24" iMac. The front facing part of the hub is more like the darker blue on the back of the iMac. Keeping it as it is a useful addition.

the design of this adapter is great, it does have a simple way to mount it on without damaging your iMac at all, it does have good amount of inputs, I do wish if it had 3.5mm jack as well which would make this adapter perfect. My only consern about this adapter which is not the fault of the adapter but just the nature on how iMac works, when you do insert a device in it will tilt back, so you either have to adjust it after or hold the iMac while inserting a device in. Overall, great adapter to decluter your table and bring some of the most used ports from the back of the iMac to the front of it.

J'ai plusieurs anciens ports USB que j'utilise avec mon nouveau Mac et nickel. L'adaptateur fait le relais sans aucun problème que ce soit smatphone, disque dur, clé USB, liseuse, etc... Nickel.

Jony Ive may be the worst thing that happened to Apple in the past twenty years. "Style first, functionality be damned!" might well be his motto. As much as I have liked my iMacs, putting I/O ports on the back of the unit was a design blunder. And stripping USB-A ports and SD card ports from the M-series iMacs simply made things worse. This little unit provides the missing ports on the front of the computer, where they are more accessible. It's not terribly ugly, and more importantly, it attaches quite solidly to the iMac. It's well-cushioned, so it won't scratch the computer, but it is secure enough that I can insert cables and SD cards. I bought this over similar, cheaper units, because they looked rather flimsy, and I was not sure how well they would attach to my iMac. This unit does a nice job.
