The saffron has a lovely rich color, a fresh aroma, and a pleasant taste. It definitely adds a nice touch to dishes, but I find that I need to use a bit more than expected to really notice the full flavor and aroma. The quantity provided is decent for the price, and overall it’s a good option for everyday cooking.

These saffron threads are -amazing-! I'd been holding off on using this until I had something super special to use it on, but I caved and opened it up and it was like opening a tin of fine tea: the aroma just filled the entire area, rich, lively, and lovely. I felt like purring. I am currently planning on using this for my mom's birthday dinner but the smell is just so heavenly that I almost want to try it in tea, instead. A quick search on the Internet tells me that saffron tea is A Thing, so it should be safe to try, right??? I should definitely taste it before cooking with it, too!!

I use saffron mainly for paella.. it's also good (in small quantities) in pastry etc. It's quite expensive, so be fussy where it's used.
