This mortar and pestle exceeded my expectations by a lot. The material quality is excellent, and it is very solid and heavy, which is actually a great thing. When I’m crushing ingredients like garlic, herbs, or spices, it stays firmly in place and does not slide around at all. The grinding surface works extremely well, making it easy to break down ingredients efficiently without much effort. You can really feel the quality as soon as you start using it. It feels durable, well made, and built to last. My only regret is choosing the smaller size. At the time, I wasn’t familiar with the brand’s quality, but now that I am, I definitely would have gone with a larger one, especially for things like making guacamole or larger batches. That said, the performance is still excellent. I fully approve this product and would absolutely buy it again. Highly recommended

This mortar and pestle set is absolutely beautiful and well made. It is very sturdy, easy to use, grinds everything smoothly, worth the price, and easy to clean (if you follow manufacturers recommendations). It is heavy making it nonslip on your counter. I am so happy with this purchase.

As good as a mortar and pestle can get. Really good and easy to use and looks good in the kitchen counter. Have used it to grind dry spices and it turned out really good.

So far I am happy with the mortar and pestle. I followed the cleaning directions before initial use. It would have made it a bit better if the pestle had a bit more of the granite roughened. I did roughen it a bit more. Beyond that it has worked extremely well for the spices and herbs that I have ground.

This is a well-priced, well-made, well-sized mortar and pestle. Durability can only be seen in time. My unit arrived intact with no damage. The bamboo base adds a degree of stability as well as dresses it up nicely. I like that some people think that the garlic peeler is actually a protective cover for the handle of the pestle, lol. It's a nice added touch and it works! Customer service is also excellent. They answered questions quickly and genuinely seem interested in your happiness as a customer. Highly recommended product and seller.

It’s a beautiful bowl, however I wasn’t expecting to wash and season the inside of the bowl. It has to be washed a few times, then crush rice into powder, clean again and then season it with 5-6 cloves of garlic by pounding and crushing the garlic around entire bowl. Once completed, it is a great sized mortar and pestle. And attractive granite as well!
