Great crimping tool
Great crimping tool. Feels sturdy, easy to use, and produces clean, reliable crimps. Pass-through feature makes wiring much faster and cleaner.

Very good - Just be careful when passing the signal wires through
This works pretty well and is a great for the price, but it took me a few tries to get it right. When trimming off the extra and crimping you need to be VERY careful to not let any of the signal wires bump into the blade. I've never used a pass through crimper before so I'm not sure if this is common, but it seems like there could be a lot more clearance for the pass through when the device is in its fully open position. If you bump any of the signal wires into the blade while passing through, your crimping attempt will be completely ruined and you'll have to start over. Once I got the hang of that, this thing worked well and is easier to get a nice solid RJ45 connector - at least to me - than when using a non-pass through crimper.

This Kit Is Great, But My First Attempt Looked Like My Toddler's Arts and Crafts Project
I'll be honest, my first few attempts at using this crimp tool kit were... rough. I bought it because I needed to run some new network cables in my home, and I figured I could save some money by doing it myself. The kit comes with everything you need: the crimp tool, a cable tester, and plenty of connectors. The quality of the tools is surprisingly good for the price. The crimper has a nice heft to it, and the cable tester is a lifesaver for identifying a bad connection. The reason for the four stars, and the source of my initial frustration, is the learning curve. This kit assumes a certain level of skill that I, a networking novice, did not possess. My first few crimped ends looked like a toddler had gotten hold of a pair of scissors and a handful of wires. I had wires crossed, some not cut all the way, and a couple of connectors that looked like they had been through a car crash. The instructions are minimal, so I ended up watching a few YouTube tutorials to figure it out. Once I got the hang of it, the tool worked flawlessly, and I've successfully made a dozen perfect cables. It's a great kit for the price, but be prepared for a bit of a learning curve and a few wasted connectors in your first attempt.

Worked like a charm!
First off, I searched high and low, both pricing and reviews for a RJ45 passthrough crimping tool. Ranging from $10 to near $100. I cashed out some forgotten Microsoft rewards points for amazon gift cards. That got me $14. Looked and sorted and found this. Paid the tax and got it in a few days. 1st attempt was poor. I didn't cut the legth of wire right and ended up with a 2 wires criss-crossed. - so one wasted connector. 2nd attempt, better, wires were right, but they didn't get cut properly. - Another wasted connector.I I was about to go ham and write a bad review. I calmed myself, tried another, this time turning the crimper so I could see the ends, so facing me. Squeezed hard and quick, and PERFECT! I was so happy. I immediately started making 3 ethernet cables I needed to wire my basement, it took just a few minutes each and worked each time with full speeds. Oh, And IT RATCHETS? I wanted a ratcheting crimper and didn't see one in this price range but was pleasantly surprised. Things to keep in mind! 1. make sure you leave about 3" of stripped wire. This makes it easier to unbend and get them in the proper order. 2. SLOWLY add the wires into the passthrough connector. Once through verify the order again. 3. Push the connector down to the cable jacket. If you need to press down or crimp the jacket so it fits inside the connector (It iwll not crimp to the wires, the full cable AND jacket have to be inside the connector) 4. Guide the excess wires and connector into the crimper so the wires are facing you. Once the connector is in all the way, squeeze hard and fast and all of the wires should be cut flush and you'll have a perfect termination. Plug your beauty in and test the connection!

Great for their connectors, Much cheaper
Much better than what you get with Klein at the local hardware store. Very sharp blades for the crimp and the wire cuts. These work especially well for their passthrough connectors and cuts perfectly..the Klein version I picked up wasn't cutting close enough and was causing issues.

When in a pinch, this crimps!
Worked great, I am a first time homeowner installer and needed jacks on my cables, I was probably the slowest to ever do this but I did it and the lines worked after!

Tools works but...
Awesome tool. Don't trust the RJ45 connectors. I went through all of them and still couldn't get a complete connection. Bought new connectors and it worked the first time
