The Cadillac of extreme cold mitts, if you need top-of-the-line gear
If you’re going to Antarctica, these are your mitts. The mitts are super durable material with strong palm material. It appears to be very capable in the harshest of conditions. They have clearly been designed by folks that live/work in these environments because of the thought put into the loops (length, adjustment, instruction, etc), the elastic at the wrist, the flare of the gauntlet, and such. These were more than what I needed for my ski gloves, so I swapped them out for the Outdoor Research Mt Baker II instead. However, if you’re looking for the Cadillac of gloves, are into hardcore mountaineering, or simply have cold hands all the time, then these are for you.

If you need supper warm winter mountineering mittens these are the ones.
Fantastic supper warm mittens. These are my emergancy ones for winter hiking and mountineering. I keep a set of hand warmers in them so if my primary mittens or gloves get wet or I get really cold I have these ready to go as a back up. Supper warm really too much for anything that you want to use your hands for. But if you need warmth these are the gold standard. Yes I would recommend these for people going out in extreme conditions above tree line. Think windy and below 0 deg F. I rarely use them but they could save fingers in an emergancy if you got stuck out in bad weather.

Not durable at all.
I bought these fairly recently and the first time I used them the inserts ripped and the leash on the outer mitten broke off. I do not recommend this for the price point and the fact it immediately starting disintegrating as soon as I used it. For $200 this is a scam.

Great. We often have the coldest weather in North America (middle of The Yukon). These are great when I have to go out anyway. Wish the palms had a bit more grip materials so it would be safer to drive with them on (until the truck warms up).
