It certainly keeps ice well, I have had it keep ice machine ice in there for a day. It's a bit short of a liter in volume, but it holds a good amount and I've not seen any leaks. The cap takes a bit of getting used to, but as long as you push it far enough towards the handle it will stay put as you drink. It doesn't keep things fully carbonated, but that's no surprise if there's no pressure to keep the gas in the liquid after you drink >half the bottle.

I have two of these and they are wonderful. Fizzy drinks stay fizzy, even 24 hours later. Drinks stay cold or hot depending on which option you chose. I normally like cold drinks and ice will definitely last well over 24 hours.
