I use this mainly to create artificial rust on miniatures and props, although I've also used it to make a yellow ocher pigment for oil painting experimenting. A little goes a long way, making it an excellent value for the money. The pigment is well defined, and mixing with other powders gives you a wide variety of colors.

Recently, I used this oxide in my handmade hair care product. It was easy to use and dissolved quickly. I only used a small amount of it, but it gave my product a rich, peachy colored tint. There’s a ton of product in this bag, which will last a while for me and my needs. Great value for the price!

I have used many variations of MYOC products in the past for different types of diy skincare products. I am using this yellow oxide to color cold process soap. I have a few recipes that I make frequently that I usually color solely with turmeric but I wanted a more vibrant yellow. This powder really improved the color saturation (combined with turmeric) and it looks fantastic. The tone can be easily adjusted by adding less. In general, oxides are considered nature identical colorants. There are many naturally occurring oxides in all different colors but these can have heavy metal contamination and are, therefore, not skin safe. Modern, commercial oxides are lab created to be the same as the natural origin ones, sans contaminants. This was so easy to work with and did not seem to speed up trace so I had plenty of time for design and finishing. I did a usage rate of 1 tsp/lb of oils and that was perfect. There’s 3.38 oz (100g) in the bag, plenty for many batches of soap. It has a long shelf life too (Exp: 01 Jan 2027). If you haven’t already tried a MYOC product, you definitely should, they are always the best quality with very reasonable prices. Highly recommend this product!

I ordered this yellow oxide powder to make paints and crayons, and it works perfectly. Also great for tinting gesso to create a warm ground color. The pigment is fine, consistent, and easy to mix...very happy with the quality.

I actually ordered this for two very different purposes. I am making a path in our backyard of several stepping stones. This is one of the colorants that I have been working with to color small portions of the path artistically. The rest of this oxide powder is going in with my soap-making supplies when I'm done working with the concrete. I have not been having any trouble working with the fine powder. It is a slightly dull golden-yellow color.
