Bought for shark loving daughter
My daughter loves sharks and we got these for her to add to her birthday gifts and she loved them. They write well and seem to last awhile.

So cute! Not just for kids – great for all ages!
I am reviewing “Cooapen Cute Cartoon Animal Pen Soft Touch Gel Pens Black Ink Kawaii Cartoon Alligator Writing Pens for Kids Students Home Office School Supplies Present, 3 Count (Dino/gator)”. These pens are adorable. They come in a set of 3 pens in a nice assortment of turquoise blues and bright green. The alligator/dinosaur heads are very cute and well done. They do make the pen slightly unbalanced because of the weight/size of the heads, but they more than make up for that in cuteness of the design. The dinosaur heads are not small, and they will attract attention. I have one in my purse; I love having it because it stays closed in my purse (no accidental clicking open with this type of pen which is a tight-fitting cap). The bright color and larger size also make it easier to spot in the bottom of my purse. The one small downside is that there is no place to attach the cap to the pen after you remove the cap. The ink is dark, and the pens writes easily and smoothly. It’s a pleasure to write with this pen because it is so smooth. It has a fine point which I appreciate. Overall, a very fun pen in an eye-catching design. Great for all ages.

They are for looks not function
The pen is garbage. It barely writes.

Fine line ink
These write with very fine line ink tips. Not felt tip, not roller ball, not marker, almost a gel pen but not quite. I would like to know what exactly they are, because I've never used a fine line like this before that almost scratches the paper to make a mark, yet it is lightweight and not really scratching or making a sound. Unusual pen tip for me to get used to, but my husband really likes it. He also likes how the pen body and cockatoo face and crest is a silicone feel and very flexible. He bends the cockatoos and dances the pen all around while singing to me and it makes me laugh a lot. I got them for me because I like and collect parrot things, but this is one parrot item I would rather just watch him use because the writing tip feels strange to me. But, overall they are cute and modeled after the colors and crests of real life cockatoo birds, which I respect that.

Cute, writes well, but top-heavy
I got these for myself, because why not? Fun stationery is an important part of a well-rounded office! So, first, they are cute and colorful. The faces are on one side only, as you can see in the photos. Right-handed writers will be able to see the face as they work, but left-handed writers won't. That's a bit of a bummer. The plastic is soft and a bit flexible, but as an adult with small hands I find the size of the pens is cumbersome, which makes me wonder how kids will hold them (probably with their fists?). I hold them like a regular pen, with the pen pinched between my first finger and thumb and resting on my second finger, and I find them to be a little bit top-heavy. The overall weight is similar to a Retro 51 metal pen, for reference. It's not difficult to use the dino pens for short periods of time, but they might be less comfortable during extended periods of writing, such as writing a long essay. For kids doing short homework sessions or art projects this might not be an issue. The pens write well and have a thin line. I compared them in the photo to Sakura Micron pens .03 and .05 nibs. You can see that the dino pens produce roughly the same thickness of line (I had a hard time deciding if they match the .03 or the .05), making them nice for doodling because you can do some detail work. On one of the pens, the cap was really difficult to remove. Even my husband struggled to get it off. Because of the top-heaviness and the sticking cap I'm giving these 4 stars.

These very cute pens have been a big hit.
Hi. The ten year old, fourth grader, in my life has become an avid journaler over the past year and these dolphin pens have become her favorite pens to use. She absolutely loves these pens and uses them daily to record her thoughts in her diary/journal. The pens are lightweight and, while they are somewhat long (as you can see in the attached photos), they are comfortable to hold and easy to write with. She has no problem gripping, or writing with them, at all. And, just so you know … these pens use a fine point rollerball cartridge/insert that has a design I have not seen before. Finding appropriate refills when the time comes may be a challenge. Fortunately, the three-pack of pens should last a while …. The takeaway: These are well made novelty pens that will delight the lucky recipient.

Cutest pens with perfect journaling tip size!
I love these adorable pens!! Before I even used them, the cockatiel design is wonderfully joyful and appears high quality. The fine 0.5mm tip size is perfect for journaling. The blue ink writes well and is consistent in flow once you get going. The pen feels good in my hand, with a slightly soft rubberized texture. For pen aficionados seeking a gliding-feel to the writing experience, I'd give these pens a 4/5. But really, the cute factor and functionality is wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to order these again or to gift them to my dear bird-loving friend. Delightful for adults and kids alike. (Note the plastic cap is not attached, and a child may be more prone to lose it or it might be a choking hazard if very young children are around.)

Adorable and useful
I love pens, and these are definitely fueling my addiction lol. They're so adorable and silly and look exactly as pictured in the product description. They also have a fine .05mm tip and write smoothly with black gel ink. I will mention that because of the cute face on top, this pen is a little heavier than the pens I usually use. And I will also mention that because the outside of the pen is a kind of soft, rubbery material, if you grab it above where the ink cartridge ends, it bends and flexes a little. Neither of these factors detract from my enjoyment of the pen, but it's something I would have wanted to know before ordering. Overall, these pens meet all my expectations, and I can't wait to show them off at work. I think my coworkers will be jealous haha.
