VERY study - there's some "heft" to this one. When open to its fullest position, will hold and average amount of napkins (3" worth - not compressed). The holder will close to a smaller opening by pulling on either side - as if to "collapse" the thing flat like a cardboard box. That way, as napkins are used, the holder can be made smaller to keep them tight and upright. Really ingenious. Oh. And nice looking, too! Definitely a brushed nickel finish with black. Little rubber feet on the bottom.

We like the style of it. We have an oxo one that grips the napkins securely, but it looks a little weird. This one is quite nice looking, but the function didn't exactly match expectations. You either have to stuff it really full of napkins to hold them securely, or the two sides have to be really out of alignment to the point it feels like the napkin holder will fall over. that said, we use it and it looks nice on the table.

Very high quality and easy to use

I was looking for something black and stainless. Lots of weird stuff out there. Anyway, this fit the bill. It's adjustable, which I like and it holds the napkins on their sides, which, if your old, makes it much easier to pick just one durn napkin. Hey, don't laugh. You'll get old someday!!

Well yes! I read tons of reviews because that's what I DO! I use rectangular napkins and this is perfect for them. As the supply diminishes the holder will adjust (with your help). This is sturdy, well made. has rubber feet so as not to mar your counter or table, and it's sleek & attractive. I can't ask for more......except that I'm trying to track down the paper towel holder to match. I'm impressed with the quality of this brand so I will persevere.

It looks great, the black matches my kitchen accessories, and the napkins never fall over because the mechanism tightens up for fewer napkins. Great design.

I had high hopes for this but it's incredibly wobbly. It's also got heft to it so when it tips over it makes quite a thunk on our wooden table. Had to send it back because, with a toddler around, I would be jumping constantly at the heavy thunks from falling over. Your dining table is the last place you want things constantly tipping over.
