Q: Are the attachments made of stainless steel?

I have this one & blades are stainless steel and strong. Already mixed some thick cookie dough with those beater attachment!

Q: Has anyone had an issue with the beaters rusting? I didn't purchase mine on Amazon but I never read anywhere that said they were not dishwasher safe.

Mine rusted in under a year. This is my second under a yr, both hamilton beach. Bith sets said stainless. I called hamilton beach andvthey wouldn't accept warranty for new beaters cause it was passed the warranty period. Even though they were recently purchased. How am i to know they were on the shelf at the store for a period of time.

Q: Can I make pizza dough by using the dough hooks from this hand mixer

I would definitely make pizza dough with these dough hooks. The motor on this blender is extremely strong, stronger than the comparable Kitchen Aid hand mixer which is much more expensive. After all, that's what dough hooks are for!!!

Q: I can't figure out how to close the door on the snap-on case. It doesn't do me any good if the attachments fall out. Help, please.

Well, it doesn't snap on great to start with. Make sure you have it situated right. Put the cord through the hole. And I sort of snap it down in there, but I would never carry it around by the mixer part for fear the case would just drop off. Even if snapped in correctly, it doesn't hold together very well. This wasn't a big selling point for me anyway, so I didn't really care. My husband could not get the thing snapped on at all and I showed him it was turned around the wrong way. Again, doesn't really snap on that well, even if turned around the right way, but I have been able to get it to stay on okay.
