Very light, and shockingly good. I was really surprised with the performance. This will get a lot a of use. The only negative, is the unit can’t stand upright with the battery plugged in. What an oversight by Makita. it would have been perfect to have this ready to go, standing upright on the workbench. Despite that, tge unit performs, and is so light and easy to use, that see it becoming a daily driver.

Perfect, very useful tool

Great little specialty tool. With the assorted blades, this was a big help on a recent bathroom remodel. Great for intricate cuts on cement board and tile. Swapped out the blade and it made clean cuts on the metal edge trim.

Works very well for tile workfor trimming out inside corners or small cuts for profiling..it is not for heavy cutting.

Works well, but is difficult for me because the safety interlock button is designed for right handed users. Also, the saw overload protection trips often as it bogs down, very annoying. Another issue is it wont stand up on the battery, it just falls over. It must always be laid flat.

This tool is the little guy that always punches above its weight! I leave a battery in permanently because I find myself reaching for it all the time for random cuts. The build quality is supreme, resulting in no vibration whatsoever, just the quiet hum of a good motor, as you expect from Makita products. My ONLY complaint is that, while the 3 included blades are nice, I wish they had included a proper wood blade for rougher cuts, but I’m nitpicking! I should also note that the third-party seller was fast.

Works very well and is very easy to control. If you don’t have a good stationary cutoff saw, this is way faster and more precise than an angle grinder. I found it easier to use than a cheap 14” cutoff saw as well. Only complaint is that after use for a bit it does turn itself off frequently. Perhaps they all do this? I didn’t shop around because I’m already in the Makita “ecosystem.” I would absolutely recommend a cutoff saw like this to anyone considering one. But again I think whether one gets the Makita or another brand depends on what battery system you already have, preference for corded or cordless, etc.

I put off buying this as I would just use my grinder for tile cuts by hand, but this little guy is very nice, I like the forward and backward options and it spins very fast, great for my tile cuts by hand when not using the wet saw. I should have bought it sooner.
