Please check with your doctor before taking any supplements. I did and was surprised that she wholeheartedly approved berberine starting 500 mg a day and increasing to 1000 mg a day, 500 mg per meal, after 4 weeks. I'm diabetic, couldn't tolerate Metformin and Glypizide (GI upset), not on insulin, on Farxiga. Still monitoring A1C. I read many product labels and reviews and this is what I was looking for: 1. Ingredients 2. Third-party tested 3. Value NatureBell satisfied all my concerns. Other brands fail on the third-party tested and percentage of purity. This product is 97% pure. This bottle is an approx 5-month supply. After almost 2 months, I've noticed reduction in hunger cravings, modest weight loss, blood sugar is gradually decreasing. This is in combination with better diet, better hydration, moderate daily walking/exercise, and restful sleep. No GI upset, normal BM. It took about 4-6 weeks of daily dosing for me to be able to definitely feel the difference. But it does work in decreasing appetite. For ME.

Love Berberine For the last three months my sugars have been coming down and staying between 5.6 to 7.4 It’s great for me I used to have readings of11.4to14.5almost daily! I’m impressed with the results Best is if you’re on metformin you can still use berberine. As an extra supplement Clear with your health care provider but I know of three doctors who fully support the use of berberine

The appetite suppressant is noticeable but small. However my biggest problem with it is the frequent urination. I had no idea this was a common side effect, and I started waking up EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. to pee. Ruined my sleep, which definitely is a trigger for stress/hormonal eating for me. I will probably end up not continuing due to the sleep impact.
