CompTIA Security+ Study Guide with over 500 Practice Test Questions: Exam SY0-701 (Sybex Study Guide)

I've been an IT Trainer and Training Manager for over 16 years and have always used and continued to 'champion' the Study Guides from Sybex, for all CompTIA Courses/ Exams If you want the most detailed study materials and the best exam prep for CompTIA's Security+ exam, this study guide is hard to beat - my last crack at the previous exam resulted in 897/900 using the previous edition of this book.

The information is nicely laid out and each chapter ends with 20 multiple choice questions in a format similar to the exam which is nice (also highlights areas you might need to review). So far I'd say it's been a great help to my Security+ studies. I tried Prof Messor's vids and found I enjoy reading content in a book much more

Excellent study guide!

I credit this book with helping me pass the CompTIA Security+ test in 2025. But do consider looking at other prep materials outside of this book if you're doing the test as well.

I believe it's a perfect start for me and should help anyone else.

Bought this book for my daughter. She said she wished she had this book sooner. She aced her bootcamp etc, but prep for exam and this book will also function as a good reference book according to her. She is stepping in her fathers footsteps although a different direction in IT then what I am doing. Proud of her.

The book is organized in a more topical flow that makes it it more engaging and context‑rich than the official Comptia guideline. I used it, loved it and passed the exam
