For my friends baby shower we were asked to get our favourite childhood book and add a message for baby in the front. Of course this was the story I chose as it gave me hope as a child! I found the meaning for me is that life isn’t always as dull as it seems, sometimes you just need to find an adventures which I can be standing right in front of you!

I had a copy of this book years ago when I was involved in restoring a public mosaic with scenes from this story, the author was born not far from where the mosaic is located, I hadn't realized my original copy was missing until my 3 year old was bought a kids version of the story. I bought this copy to read to him when he's old enough to understand. Reading this story never gets old, "watching" a spoilt little girl grow and mature along with the garden.

I've read this book before but my copy was only the first book and it had seen better days. This copy is nice and as usual the story is one of my favourites to read. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Eu assistia o filme na sessão da tarde quando era criança. A história de como Mary Lenoxx se transforma quando se muda para a Inglaterra e comi a presença dela transforma a casa onde mora é muito bem contada e entrelaçada pela autora. O material do livro é bem simples, as folhas parecem jornal, mas vale a pena pelo preço.
