Absolutely Worth It
Dental care in the U.S is quite expensive, so of course, it is best to do everything you can to prevent footing a billion dollar bill at the chair! I chose this one for affordability, quality, and overall ease of use. An electric toothbrush is a fantastic investment, but I just did not want to spend $200 on a toothbrush that could fly, lol! For about $100 (in the black color), I have all the brushing options I need, the bluetooth app, and the ability to see how much coverage I get with each brush!. The app also gives you medals for completing goals and I've had great joy completing them. I have seen such an improvement in my teeth with just a few months of use, especially in the realm of plaque reduction. It's very powerful, gets the job done, and best of all not tooooo expensive. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quality electric toothbrush that won't cost a grocery bill. It comes with the toothbrush, 3 brush heads, charger station, a small case to put your brush heads (highly recommend removing the heads and placing them in the case after each use, makes it easier to clean), and of course the manual/instructions!

Better than Quip
For the past five years, I’ve been using a Quip electric toothbrush and was pretty devoted to it, but this Oral-B 7500 blows the Quip out of the water. I was honestly shocked at how much better the Oral-B cleans my teeth. I guess not all electric toothbrushes are created equal, lol. PROS - Cleans MUCH better than the Quip. - No AA batteries to throw out. - Love the two-minute timer. You can use the Oral-B app to subdivide the timer into 4 or 6 sections (30 seconds each or 20 seconds each, respectively). - Love the size of the brush heads; more nimble & better reach than Quip. - The pressure sensor light is great for in-the-moment feedback. - The variety of brushing modes is excellent and gives this brush versatility. - Comes with a travel case and storage tray for extra brush heads. CONS - Brush handle arrived scratched on the front. This could have easily been prevented with a plastic sleeve, which, incredibly, Oral-B put over the travel case but not over the brush handle. 🙄 - Loud motor, especially compared to the near-silent Quip. Can’t listen to podcasts while brushing my teeth anymore. But that’s okay, I guess, because I use the Oral-B app while brushing now. - Takes a LONG time to charge (10 hours). - Instruction manual doesn’t explain the different icons & brushing modes. You have to download the app to see what they are. But I’ll explain them to you now. WHAT EACH ICON MEANS - Tooth: “daily clean” mode - Tooth with plus sign: “pro clean” mode - Diamond: whitening mode - Feather: sensitive mode - Wavy lines: gum-care mode - Tongue: tongue-cleaning mode BRUSHING MODES Not gonna lie, the intensity of the “daily clean” mode (tooth icon) seemed aggro at first, especially compared to the Quip’s super gentle vibration. So for now, I am only using the “sensitive” mode (feather icon) while I am getting used to this new brush. I’m sure I will be able to graduate to the “daily clean” mode in a week or two. THE APP You really do need to download the Oral-B app to get the most out of this toothbrush. The app is excellent and lets you change a ton of settings on the brush, like the timer, ring light color, goals, and more. It also tracks your history, flossing, mouthwash use, and brush head replacement schedule. The app also offers challenges, brushing journeys (ex., plaque busting, bad breath), and “medals” to strive for if you want to adopt healthier brushing habits. Importantly, you can use the app to disable any of the individual brushing modes so that it only cycles through the ones you want. You can also reorder them so that the brush automatically starts on your preferred mode. I only have the sensitive and tongue-cleaning modes enabled at the moment, and I can switch between them by pressing the down arrow on the brush handle. The only downside to the app is that the position detection (using your phone’s front-facing camera) doesn’t work very well. I turned that off and instead just use the regular guided-brushing mode, which shows a timer on the screen. SUMMARY Overall this is a fantastic toothbrush, and despite the minor downsides, I am thrilled with it and genuinely shocked at how much better it cleans than the Quip. Glad I bought it. ** UPDATE, six months later, May 2023 ** I just got back from the dentist today, and my hygienist told me, “Wow, your teeth are extremely clean! You have great oral hygiene.” I told her I had switched from the Quip to the Oral-B, and she nodded knowingly and said it’s obvious when a patient has started using either an Oral-B or a Sonicare. I’ve found that I prefer different brushing modes for different brush heads. I’m still mostly using the “sensitive” mode (feather icon), but I do switch it up with the “daily clean” mode (tooth icon). I haven’t used the “pro clean” mode (tooth with plus sign) because, well, I’m kind of a sensitive person, and the noise the Oral-B makes is already loud enough. The “gum care” mode is nice if you floss too enthusiastically one day and need to take it easy the next day. I am still highly impressed with this toothbrush, and I enjoy using it every day.

Game-Changer for Oral Care!
I recently upgraded to the Oral-B Genius 7500 Electric Toothbrush, and it has been a fantastic investment in my oral health! After using it for a few months, I can confidently say this toothbrush is in a league of its own. The 360° pressure sensor is a game-changer, ensuring I’m not brushing too hard, which has always been a concern with my sensitive gums. The variety of brush heads included allows me to switch up my cleaning routine, from gentle polishing to deep cleaning. The travel case is super convenient, making it easy to keep up with my oral care routine on the go. The toothbrush feels sturdy and high-quality, and I love the sleek black design – it looks great on my bathroom counter. But the best part? My teeth have never felt cleaner! After each brush, I feel like I’ve just had a professional cleaning. If you’re on the fence about investing in a high-quality electric toothbrush, I highly recommend the Oral-B Genius 7500. It’s worth every penny!

Excellent Electric Toothbrush!
We have some Oral-B Pro 1000 units. One of them died, when the battery got too old to take a charge. I was going to buy the same moe for about $40, but caught this one on a one day sale for $90. Since it has multiple modes, supposedly a better battery and some accessories like a charging dock and travel case, I figured I'd give it a shot (Oral-B does offer a 60 day satisfaction guarantee). The unit comes with three brush heads: Cross Action, 3D White, and Floss Action. The 7500 cleans very well, and has 6 different modes as well as the ability to set a timer for 2 minutes or 30 second intervals. It has an LED ring at the neck which is white but will change red if you apply too much pressure. It charges reasonably fast (a couple of hours the first time) and holds its charge great. The charger itself is the standard Oral-B unit but fits onto a covered case which holds 4 heads. The cord is about 3 feet. The travel case is white plastic, and holds a brush and two heads. The modes are as follows: * Daily Clean * Pro-Clean (Deep Clean on older models) * Sensitive * Whitening * Gum Care * Tongue My sole complaint about 7500 is the user manual. It is written for multiple models, so while some mode icons are obvious (a tongue for tongue cleaning), you are left to guess the others. They are: * Daily Clean - No icon lit except for power and bluetooth lights * Pro-Clean - Tooth with a + sign * Sensitive - Feather * Whitening - Diamond * Gum Care - "Waves" * Tongue - Tongue The 7500 also is bluetooth, so you can download the Oral-B app on your phone and use it to monitor your brushing habits. The app works decently enough and the bluetooth connectivity seems consistent. I consider the app a nicety, not something I need to know if I brushed for 2 minutes. It will remind you to change brush heads too. Overall, I don't know that this cleans that much better than the 1000 but I like the extra battery life and having a few more modes.

Love the Lithium battery.
I've been using Oral-b toothbrushes for over a decade. For me, they are the best cleaning brush out there. I've owned many versions of the Oral B, from the 1000 to the 7000 and I must say the 7500 is by far the best. It's much lighter than the 7000 due to the Lithium battery. It seems a bit more powerful as well. The brush heads seem to rotate a bit more than the 7000. Lithium battery does last longer, and more importantly, it operates at full power until the battery is out. The non-lithium powered brushes start off strong, but the motor weakens as the charge runs down. I get about 10-12 days out of each charge on the 7500. The old battery takes over 12 hours to charge, this takes about 6-7 hours. Why only 4 stars? This really goes to review all the Oral -b system overall. First, they are designed to last only 2-3 years. That's about right with all my other Oral-b brushes based on my usage. Seems quite a bit to pay. They're already making lots on the toothbrush heads already. I'm hoping that the lithium battery version last a bit longer, but according to Oral b, it's still only 2-3 years. Lastly, I wish they' bring the LiOn battery to a more basic, reasonably priced brush. The app and all that is a novelty at best. I lose interest after a week and basically use it on only a single mode. It seems Braun thinks this should be some sort of minicomputer with so many functions It's a toothbrush! Make one with a brushless motor and a larger LiOn battery that last more than 2 weeks and charge around $50. Back to the 7500...aside from my gripes above, it's a solid product and the LiOn battery alone is the major upgrade.

Excellent brush
I did a ton of research between the phillips and oral-b smart toothbrushes. My dentists have always recommended the particular shape and size of the oral-b brushes vice the phillips. I didn't used to prefer the smaller, circular brushes (oral-b) but they really are optimal for cleaning my teeth and fitting in the curves as well. While many brushing options on both types of toothbrushes are available, all I really need is tooth whitening (high power), and a gentle brush (for my gums). I'd rather have just those two than have to switch through 5/6 options that are basically the same. I also wish I could change the option while the toothbrush is not on. The pressure light is amazing. I've only used the application and analysis tool one time. The novelty wore off and it was more distracting than just paying attention to where I put the brush. There is not a toothbrush out there that is accurate enough to be better than just being conscious of your own movements. I like Oral-B's vibrating method every 30 seconds to indicate switching to a different quadrant. I also like that their replacements are not astronomically priced like Phillips' RFID heads, especially when I find the brushing analysis to be a waste of money anyway. The Oral-B looks nice too. I like how it doesn't take up a lot of space like the Phillips plate and cup thing. It is not difficult to wipe the base clean and it is so easy to travel with that I find a charging case to be excessive. Plus, the battery life is excellent.

Great purchase
I’m giving Oral B 7500 5 stars for the following reasons: 1) The design of the round head and individual tooth is actually better for me. 2) The multi action—rotation and reverse rotation and brush head design works great for cleaning my teeth, removing food debris to prevent plaque build-up. 3) The 6 modes of cleaning for option is wonderful all of which I will be using. For not I just use the general cleaning plus for that more “aggressive” cleaning. 4) The Bluetooth feature is actually useful for me. I like looking at data, and it actually motivates me to meet those daily brushing goals. My 5 stars is simply based on its cleaning and plaque removing abilities. I also read from other users concern on rust or dark discoloration on the white version. I think to minimize this is to remove the brush heads and wash it separately each time. Don’t rinse the brush head while it’s attached to the device because there are holes in the brush head that leaks through. The design of Oral B 7500 is not like the Philips Sonicare FlexCare or Diamond Clean. Sonicare has a far better design, I think. It’s streamline and has a very nice sophisticated feel to it. I own both so I am able to compare it these to the 7500. But as far as cleaning capabilities, I think the Oral B 7500 does a far better job and meets my personal oral needs than both the Philips Sonicare FlexCare and Diamond Clean. If there is an aspect about Oral B 7500 I wish they can improve on, is the size of the brush head. I use Sonicare’s small brush head because it fits inside my mouth better. The Oral B brush heads a bulkier. I do take the extra effort and use my other hand to move my cheeks out of the way so the Oral B brush head can clean the side and back of my teeth (top and bottom). I think using a combination of the Oral B 7509 and Sonicare toothbrushes will, hopefully, give me the benefits that both designs can offer. March 2020 update: After having used the Oral B 7509 for 3 months, I can now attest, without a doubt, as far as I am concerned, this electronic toothbrush beats my Diamond Clean and Premium Platinum Sonicare ones. I am a firm believer and fan in Oral B’s ability to clean my teeth and effectively remove plaque. I’ve always had plaque build up issues even though I brush my teeth twice a day. In fact I have had to increase my teeth cleaning to 4 times and 2 laser gum treatments annually because I’m predisposed to plaque. After using Oral B, now I can feel confident to reduce my cleaning to 2 times a year and 1 laser gun treatment.
