⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Adding this leather hole puncher to my artist makerspace has been one of the best decisions ever! It’s a total game-changer for my leather crafting projects. Whether I’m punching holes, pronging, or stamping, this machine handles it all with ease. The quality of this tool is top-notch. The upgraded ductile iron base is incredibly sturdy and durable, so I don’t have to worry about it breaking under pressure. Speaking of pressure, it delivers up to 160 kg of pressing power, which is more than enough for all my leatherwork needs. What I really love is how effortless it is to use. Perfect! That’s what well describes this tool for my wife’s use. My wife does crafts work of almost any kind. One of the things that she is making are light weight earrings that she is making with multiple layers of colorful or hand drawn and very detailed artwork. She was using a hand punch to punch the holes to attach the metal parts of the earrings that are used to hang the earrings, but it was difficult with her arthritic hands to do that. This tools is made to pinch leather, but it works very well for her needs, and is much easier for her to use. And it is much easier to see exactly where the hole will be, much better than a hand punch. While the price was higher than a hand punch, we feel that it is money well spent, as it fit her needs perfectly!

I don't work with leather goods yet, BUT this tool has been an absolute HERO when it comes to making costume pieces with lacing holes. The included bits fit all the grommet sizes I use the most, and they cut like BUTTER even through multiple layers of cotton, buckram, coutil, interfacing, and whatever other layers my bodices use. Sturdy, easy to use, and an absolute BEAST when i need to punch 54 holes in one sitting. Saved my poor hands.

Great Concept, terrible execution. Was worried how the flat punches would work in three jaw chuck, surprisingly well, but the punches are dull. Three hours of polishing and they now will punch leather. The next item was the chuck stem. Stem is 9.9 mm (25/64”) and the hole on the press is 12.7 mm (1/2”). There was no bushing or set screw. Since I am a machinist, I was able to make a bushing and set screw. Bushing I made is from brass stock 1 7/8” Long, OD 1/2”, ID 25/64” with a hole depth of 13/16”. The set screw was a M6-10. The last Item is every time you change punches you have to readjust the entire machine: length of throw, height, ram etc. If you’re only going to make the same way over and over it would be an OK purchase, but I make a variety of items for my own use or as gifts to friends, time will tell if I feel it’s even worth the one star rating.

After extensive online reviews and investigating leather press options, I opted to give FAST TO BUY brand leather press an opportunity to try their product. I was very disappointed when the product arrived; original packaging (Cardboard box packaging from the company, not amazon) arrived fairly banged up. The press itself was fully encased in a higher durability foam packaging, which seemed to offer adequate protection. Upon fully removing the press from its packaging, it had appeared as though the press had been used and the parts/tool bits and component accessories that go with it, had been originally removed and/or used. The press itself seemed functional however, there were signs of rusting starting to form or had formed on parts of the iron casting, as well as on exposed metal surfaces. Not entirely sure if this was an Amazon return & repackage situation or if FAST TO BUY did a poor job packaging and putting together the product itself. I’ve requested a return & replacement of the same press and am cautiously optimistic as to the replacement press however, for the price I paid for the press I am not really impressed. Time will only tell how the second leather press is packaged and operates; use caution. ***UPDATE: 02/22/2025*** Replacement press arrived with shipping packaging intact; press itself appears as if fresh off of the assembly line. Fully functional & operational; very smooth pull lever action and easy installation of the drill chuck that came with the press. Very satisfied overall, my only gripe is with the instructions themselves as they are limited as to addressing installing the drill chuck and the top hex bolt screws situated by the recoil/tension spring. Otherwise happy for the time being; updating review stars from 3 to 4 stars. I still believe that the press is a bit over priced.

This little machine sure makes leather work much easier no more hammering
