Orderd 2 styles from this brand. This smaller size worked best for the gate insede the door frame set up. Great quality, just added security because the rubber backing. Kept the larger size pads to use in regular wall set up if needed. Good product and price.

These little protectors do exactly what they say they'll do! They grip well and stay in position. Right now I'm using them on a baby gate that is in frequent use. The gate loosened, but the grips did not. Very pleased to have something that will protect my baseboards & walls and keep the gate in position. Will be ordering more for the other gates in my house!

The Wall Nanny is such a brilliant device! While it does take two people to install it, I like that I don't have to screw it into the wall, and it adds like a quarter inch to the gate which works for us, because we needed a little bit of extra space on the side for our cats to squeeze through, but you should keep in mind when deciding on what size date to buy. I especially love how much sturdier the Wall Nanny makes our gates! Our dogs have knocked over previous tension gates, which did a lot of damage to the walls, and our toddler has started shaking the gates trying to get out, but the Wall Nanny keeps it in place AND protects the walls from the tension rods! If you're even thinking about this, don't! Your walls and your sanity will thank you!

I've purchased 3 sets of these at different times because I liked how it protects my walls.

I have a 70lb Bouvier des Flandres & a 105lb Giant Schnauzer who we have a baby gate up in the hallway to keep my daughter's cat separated from being eaten by the dogs. The 70lb Bouv isn't interested in the cat being in his house so he frequently will push the gate along the wall since I only have it installed with tension. The positives are... - It does not damage my wall even with a lot of tension (yay). - It stays put with normal use! - It is easy to install. - These ones are much smaller than the normal ones. The somewhat? negatives are below, but are unique to my situation. - It does not stay put without being installed into a stud. If I installed these into the sheetrock I am 100% sure I would have nails drug through my walls from my dog hitting the gate when he tries to get the cat. - I'm not sure I could install these smaller ones into studs and have them stay put, but I may try eventually. - These ones don't seem to stay put as well as the larger/normal size wall nannys. I used to have a set that went to one of my kids' houses and I replaced my set with these smaller ones.

Warning! Despite saying next day delivery, I've been waiting three days and they're still not here! I've gotten these before and they're awesome, but so far I've paid for them to sit in an warehouse, so I don't know if I'll even receive them at all. So discouraging.

Bought these for use with our Carlson pet gates to protect the walls in our rental home. They fit perfectly on the mounting supports for the gate, and keep the wall from being damaged. The back side is grippy enough that once the mounting supports were properly adjusteven my husband couldn't knock the gate over or make it move. Easy to use and does exactly what they are supposed to.
