I have been using the Multi Sharp abrasives for many years to keep my Qualcast cylinder mower sharp. I always sharpen at the start of the season and again half way through which keeps the blades lovely and sharp to give that striped lawn finish. The mower is now 50 years old and I have just replaced the bottom blade and expect to get many more years use with the aid of the Multi Sharp.

I purchased the 38cm wide cylinder mower sharpening tool and cut it down to length to sharpen the 12" wide blades on my lawnmower, as the 30cm wide version is not wide enough to cover the entire 12" blade's width. I found the tool easy to assemble onto my Qualcast lawnmower, it produced a reasonably sharp blade and when the sharpening was finished the lawnmower cut the grass rather than tearing it.

Hat man sich an die optimale Schleifeinstellung seines Spindelmähers herangetastet, ist der Schleifvorgang mittels Akkuantrieb einfach. Beim Schleifen per Handbetrieb der Spindel darf NUR nach vorne geschoben werden, denn sonst (ziehen) wird der Schleifstreifen sofort geschreddert. Die Abnutzung der Spindelmesser kann ungleichmäßig erfolgen, sodass die Schleifeinstellung immer wieder neu justiert werden muss.
