I purchased five of these THIRDREALITY Zigbee Multi-Function Night Lights to build a sophisticated lighting architecture in my home, and they are absolutely brilliant. While they work flawlessly as standalone motion-activated night lights, their true power is unlocked when integrated with a smart home hub like Home Assistant. I have configured these to act as dual-purpose ambient status indicators. They stay on at a very dim 1% brightness all day, providing a quick, unobtrusive visual cue for the home's security state based on color—🟢 Green means secure, 🔴 Red indicates a perimeter breach (door/window open), and they even cycle through 🟣 Purple and 🔵 Blue based on specific security scenes I've set. However, when motion is detected in a zone after sundown, the nearest light immediately brightens to 25% white to safely light the way, automatically reverting to its status color after 30 seconds. Beyond their clever programming, they are technically robust. They paired instantly with my Zigbee network and act as reliable repeaters, significantly strengthening my home mesh network. Considering they offer so many options for advanced customization as indicator lights, they represent an excellent value for the low price. Highly recommended for anyone looking to bridge the gap between simple automation and comprehensive home security visualization.

Works great in SmartThings/HA/Hubitat and helps function for us a a beautiful notice indicator with the light, a night light, weather indicator, mode indicator, zigbee extender, and motion sensor. Couldn't ask for a better smart home product if you're looking for a motion sensor this has that and much more at a great cost, I plan on adding many more.

I recently purchased the THIRDREALITY Multi-Function Night Light 4 Pack, and I am extremely satisfied with its performance and features. Setting up these nightlights was a breeze. The light they provide is adequate without causing any eye strain, thanks to the adjustable brightness. The motion detection is also very responsive. I’ll be able to expand my Zigbee network throughout my house with these nightlights. I also appreciate the additional features, such as the illumination sensor and the RGB color night light. The ability to set different colors and brightness levels is a great bonus. Overall, this is a versatile and reliable product that I highly recommend.

Pros: * Simple install and adoption with Z2M. * Rock-solid router, actually managed to improve an already very strong mesh. Cons: * The default, out of the box, configuration for the night light and motion sensor are lackluster. Locations: * Kitchen counter by the fridge * Top of the stairs * Entry to a living room * Basement corner by a walkout door Technology Environment: Home Assistant OS virtualized on Proxmox. ZigBee2MQTT running alongside HAOS. A single SMLIGHT SLZB-06 as Coordinator and two SLZB-06 units as primary routers. Experience: Effortless to install and get adopted into my mesh. These replaced a couple of smart plugs, also from THIRDREALITY, that had been strategically positioned to strengthen the mesh. Those plugs will be downcycled into other automation projects. Mounted at normal US outlet height, the "night light" features are less than stellar, producing a semi-circle of light with a radius of ~4-5 feet. For the areas where we used them they are enough to make sure that we are not tripping on any of the myriad of toys the children leave scattered. Under the out of the box configuration, the motion sensor features leave a bit to be desired, as the detection radius seems to be about double the light radius at ~8-10 feet. These maybe just barely clear the hurdle to justify the additional expense over another device with a built in router. I have some ideas to use the LED color during the day as a status or indicator light for other automations; if those pan out, the value proposition of these goes way up, and I may give these another star. However, if you are really looking for night light functionality, and do not need smart / automation features beyond a simple motion-activated night light, then you really should look elsewhere.

I bought THIRDREALITY Mutli-Function Night Light 4 Pack for $59.99 on November 21, 2024. Overall, I am happy with the device, but there are definitely areas for improvement with this. Its three functions are (1) illumination sensor, (2) motion sensor, and (3) color night light. The illumination sensor works well and I have no complaint about that. The motion sensor is extremely slow to respond, and not something I use because it is so much slower than my other dedicated sensors. The color night light is decent, although the color reproduction is not the best. The device itself is also very bulky. Fortunately, I knew it would be bulky based on other reviews, so it does not bother me. Overall, the device is okay. I am content with the ones I have, but I am not sure I would buy this again.

This is a versatile, Zigbee Plus multi-function sensor and night light that plugs into any AC outlet. It's rather large, but it doesn't block the adjacent outlet. It's very well constructed and it should last for years. No batteries are used. A tiny AC-to-USB A power cube fits into a cavity in the back, and in theory, could be removed to power the device via a USB cable. The device can measure occupancy (act as a motion detector), and light level (lux). The night light color and intensity can be controlled by home automation software such as Zigbee2MQTT running on Home Assistant or HomeSeer or similar platforms. I created events to automate actions: when walking into the room at night, the light changes from dim red to a brighter blue-green color, and then reverts a few minutes after leaving. This is great for a bathroom or other area used at night. Since the device is an AC-powered Zigbee Plus node, it also acts as a repeater for the mesh network.

Looks good. High quality. Synced with MQTT easily and immediately. Lights up the hallway well. Great addition to a Zigbee network, and worth the money imo.

I own an older Echo Flex with Motion Sensor. I was looking for a plug-in motion sensor that could turn lights on throughout dark rooms and corridors in my home. I tried to pair it using the proprietary Third Reality app and link it to my Echo Plus hub. No luck. My Echo hub did recognize the device as a Zigbee light - but that only lets you turn it on or off using your Alexa app or your home Echo; you can also change the color of the LED light as well as the brightness. That is about it. The motion sensor works if you walk into a room. It turns the light on for 30 seconds. I was hoping for motion sensing capabilities that can be set to turn on/off other house lights or to trigger an alarm. Unfortunately, the motion sensor function is limited to turning on only the built in colored night light. It states that it acts as a Zigbee repeater. I have difficulty with my smart bulbs disconnecting from my Echo Plus hub. I have to power cycle the Echo Plus to reconnect (by unplugging it from the wall). This night light did not help with improving the connection to my bulbs. I still randomly lose connection to the plugs and bulbs. Don't buy this if you want an effective Zigbee repeater in your home. Conclusion: It is an overpriced night light with a motion sensor. Cute colors and dimmable but not a functional motion sensor for controlling other lights or for use as a home security sensor. It is also not an effective Zigbee repeater.
