Will purchase again as needed and well worth it to me as a partial and full seed starter mixture. If you know anything about vermiculite and perlite you know they can be full of electrostatic so when you do open this bag as it is vacuum sealed it would be wise to use scissors or a knife and make two little holes in either top corner I'm right hand so upper right to me. Give it a min the breathe then slowly work it around with your hands. Do not open it fully without doing this or it can go/ fly everywhere. Some people are already had pictures of it being compressed so here's where I make two holes and after the bag is worked. This does weigh a pound and half.

This worked tremendously well for my indoor plants. I repotted two of them - a large one and a small one. The surprising thing is that this arrives in a flat bag!! I would recommend this product.

This is very fine grained vermiculite which is ideal for my needs. I use it for seed starting mixes as well as a "mulch" once the seedlings emerge. The latter works well to prevent damping off on tender starts. Both tasks can be accomplished with coarser vermiculite, but this fine grained option is ideal. It comes in a vacuum sealed pouch. The vacuum makes the pouch rigid, which helps ensure it remains in good shape in transit (as well as saving space in the box). It arrived in perfect shape. On the downside, the pouch is not resealable, so I decanted the leftover material into a sealed container to keep it clean. If you need fine grained vermiculite, this hits the mark perfectly. Five stars.

Vermiculite is fine, but a 14.6 oz. is a lot less than what the photo online makes it look like.

This is a great product. It helps keep my seeds moist and grow faster. I use this on all my seed starting potted plants

Good quality. Be advised that your vermiculite will need to be put into a different container in order to be used.

Tiny bag. Good for about 3 dahlia tubers. Went to a local place (O’Toole’s in Colorado), and got a much larger bag for a more reasonable price.

I bought this to add to the soil and peat moss for some Hawaiian plants I brought home from a trip. It was easy to mix together and sees to be exactly what my tropical flower plant needed.

It is a good product for the price point. To improve your soil, and if you are planting seeds, remember that a light dusting may help prevent root rot. Remember to turn off heating mats when you get germination. This can help. Using a home hot house system has its downsides. Just keep ahead of them and have success.
