I picked up the Kaseamu 1/2 x 6 inch ferro rod with striker and it’s quickly become a staple in my camping and backpacking gear. It’s compact enough to pack easily but still a great size for getting solid leverage when striking. This ferro rod throws a ton of sparks and works consistently, even in less-than-ideal conditions. One thing that really stood out to me is the striker — it’s very high quality. It has a sharp, durable edge that scrapes the rod efficiently and makes starting a fire quick and easy. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy like some included strikers do. For the price, this is an excellent value. It performs just as well as more expensive options and feels durable enough to last a long time. If you’re putting together a camping, backpacking, or emergency kit, this is a dependable fire starter that won’t disappoint. Highly recommend.

I've never owned a ferro rod firestarter before this one so I really don't have anything else to compare it too. What I can tell you is that, as a total noob, I had no problem getting a fire started with this. Yes, you need to scrape off the black coating to get it to work. But that is the same for any of these black coated ferro rods. The included striker made things super easy. I got lots of good sparks and got my tinder bundle lit with no trouble. It worked like a champ. Size was nice and it was easy to hold. Nice touch with the included Paracord lanyard.

Works fairly well. It can throw a good Spark about a foot away, when the striker grabs which may take 1-3 strikes

Works every time and is a nice size, none of that silly micro crapp that is difficult to hold on to

I bought several of these for bug out bags and camping. They work pretty good I'd recommend buying some to put them in your own survival kits.

I had never tried a ferro rod before, with the exception of a very small one on a keychain. Did not have much luck with that. I hope never to be in a situation that I need to build a fire to survive but it is better to prepare. I have been practicing with it for a few days and can now, with perfect tinder, usually start a fire in two or three strikes. I went fishing the other day and tried to start a fire in a grill using what i could find. That was my first fire with out modern help, with the exception of the ferro rod. I now know that even with my age and arthritic claws for hands I can start a fire if needed. This is a great tool to keep with you at all times.

These came quickly and a fantastic product

As we know we all need an alternative way to make fire when your lighter is not working. This rod is small enough to fit in a backpack easily. Simple and easy to use, a great value for the money. Shower spark like a grinder. It weighs a non noticeable amount even in your pocket. It should be very durable.
