Inexpensive nickel strip spot welder
This device takes some getting used to. It works ok using the thin nickel strips provided. It holds a charge fairly well. I would recommend having whatever you are working on secured so you can concentrate on holding this device as it wants a certain pressure when you are doing the spot welds. The different current levels definitely have an effect so it is a good idea to try several settings if the first weld does not happen as you want.

Permanent jewelry great start welder
Works great for welding little rings for permanent jewelry. Got this to make my own permanent jewelry and I love it. For about 30$ I can make my own! When one bracelet costs 50$ at the boutique

Good beginner welder
Works great! DOES NOT WORK ON 0.2mm STRIP, highest energy setting was dimpling the metal but not nearly hard enough to weld. Never used a battery spot welder before this. Very easy to use. Bought for rebuilding a M18 5ah battery pack, and it holds just enough charge to comfortably do all the spot welding needed on one battery pack. It charges "quickly". I'd recommend using some light scotchbrite pad every few welds to clean the electrode tips.

Doesn't work at all.
Was looking for a way to connect 18650 battery's. This will not spot weld .15mm thick nickel strips. It almost works with the .10mm nickel strip that it comes with, but only at the highest voltage and only if you adjust the distance between tips. And even then, it will blow holes in the strip sometimes, do nothing sometimes, and weld occasionally. Now it has just stopped working entirely. Just won't even activate, and was difficult to activate even when it was working. Took two hours of experimenting to get 7 battery's welded together on one side poorly, and now it won't do anything, I want a refund.

Easy fast spot welder
I have tried the style of spot welder with a big battery pack and 2 long wires to the contacts, and yes, they work. This spot welder saved me an immense amount of time in rebuilding my DeWalt lithium batteries. Wow. Fast, easy, solid spot welds, and the battery lasted impressively. After 3 completed batteries, so 30 cells and 60+ connections of 4 welds each, this unit still had battery left and was functioning perfectly. It did get warm in the hand and I hit the thermal shutdown threshold once when I was working fast. It got warm (not hot) and stopped welding for a few minutes, cooled down and kept going. Not a big deal since I used the time to solder the balance leads on. So far I really like it would buy another if continuous production were an issue. Swapping between 2 of them could keep a person welding nickel strip all day.

It works good on its own terms
This is what I learned after putting together 60 batteries. This welder is good, but it has to be on its terms. First, don't use this on tabbed batteries. That was a mistake. The tabs are thicker than the included nickel strip and the welder will have about a 50% success rate and welds break with the slightest mechanical movement. If you have tabbed batteries, cut the tabs off. The nickel strip included is perfect. Get more of that. Second, I noticed you get about 4 really good welds before needing to wait a minute. Seriously, once I learned to use this with a 60 second timer, things went a lot smoother. Third, the instructions will get you basic button operation, nothing more. Watch some videos if you never used one before. Once I learned about the tab problems and required time delays, I came to appreciate this little welder.

It works perfectly, get it.
I was surprised at how well it works. It charged quickly and was ready to use. The automatic welding feature worked extremely well. Makes me wish I had more to weld! Came with tape and extra welding tips (pens). This video is set at power level 5 of 11 and it welded with ease. Great product.

Ideal for Repairing Tool Batteries with Precision
Ideal for Repairing TooI purchased this spot welder specifically to repair some tool batteries, and it’s perfect for the job! The 11 adjustable gears give you great control, allowing you to fine-tune the settings depending on the materials you're working with. Both the automatic and manual modes are easy to use, which adds versatility depending on the project at hand. It’s compact but powerful, and it works flawlessly for welding nickel sheets to batteries. The build quality feels solid, and the 2M of included nickel is a nice bonus. If you're doing battery repairs or small welding projects, this tool is a great addition to your workshop!l Batteries with Precision
