I picked up this camping ax, and let me tell you, it made me feel like a total wilderness pro—despite the fact that my camping experience mostly involves sitting by the fire and making s’mores. Still, this ax is no joke. It’s super sturdy and sharp, and it slices through wood like it’s no big deal. I half expected to be a lumberjack after one swing, and while I didn’t exactly turn into Paul Bunyan, I did feel pretty awesome. The grip is solid, and it’s just the right weight, so I didn’t feel like I was going to drop it on my foot or chop off any limbs. If you want to impress your camping buddies or just channel your inner Bear Grylls, this ax will definitely do the trick.

I’ll give this a five but it deserves a little less. When I got it the edge on the blade was awful and as dull as a butter knife. The angle was all wrong and in places the edge was thick and blunt. After about an hour plus with first a file then a stone I can now practically shave with it. This required lots of work, finesse and sharpening experience, something that lots of people don’t have an understanding of or practice with. This all being said the bit does seem to hold a very good edge when using it so the quality of steel is pretty good I’d say. GOOD LUCK!

Overall this is a great little hatchet and I am surprised that the it is as large as it is but does not feel too heavy or unwieldy. The convex grind was too wide towards the edge and I wish that it came with a belt sheath rather than just a blade protector one. It is now properly sharpened and I can use an ax loop but that is extra time and money.

I haven't used it yet, but reading the other reviews I was expecting a dull, lopsided hatchet with a loose handle. However, I received a nice sharp hatchet that appears to be evenly-forged and well-sharpened. And, yep, the handle is ever so slightly loose which should be an easy fix, especially considering the package included two extra handle shims! Looking for to using it. I think it'll be perfect for my needs.

I use this for many hand stripping projects.

Die Axt sieht auf jeden Fall genauso aus wie abgebildet (inklusive Gravur). Ob ich sie nachschärfen müsste kann ich noch nicht sagen. Sie liegt gut in der Hand.

Beil war super verpackt und nochmal extra in einen Karton inklusive einem Gummi Klingenschutz und in einem Hochwertigen Lederklingenschutz! 2.Stern! Beil war sehr sehr scharf. Habe es beim Auspacken an einen Stück Papier getestet und festgestellt, die ist sehr scharf! Super für Holz Sticks und Feinarbeiten! Habe es auch am Arm probiert und jetzt habe ich eine Kahle Stelle 😂3. Stern! Handling super nicht zu schwer und auch Mega praktische Größe! Kommt auf jede Tour mit! 4. Stern! Beil hat eine Schlaufe am Holzgriff der sehr hochwertig wirkt und gut verarbeitet ist. Den Holzgriff kann man auch austauschen wenn er irgendwann mal kaputt gehen sollte, was ich nicht glaube! Für alles gebe ich 5 Sterne! Super Produkt gerne wieder!
