No complaints
I bought 4-5 of them. For storage, I used to have them as internal drives, but on old laptops, 4-8 GB RAM, 10-15 old. After 80% of usage, it would slow down CPU with heavy programs. Never crashed.

I was a bit disappointed as it was only 4 years old
I was getting messages on my Packard Bell laptop, that the hard drive was failing and should be replaced. I was a bit disappointed as it was only 4 years old, and lightly used. Having established that it was a 1TB Toshiba SATA hard drive, I resolved to replace with the same make. A quick search of Amazon found this drive, which I ordered and had delivered next day. It came well packaged, and in an anti-static bag. I had already backed up my files, and created a system image using Windows 10 (It's actually a Windows 7 app). Installing the hard drive turned out to be as easy as removing a few screws, and lifting out the old one, then slotting in the new one. It took less than 10 minutes. It fired up immediately, using the recovery disk I was prompted to create when I upgraded to Windows 10 a few months ago.I then connected the external hard drive with the system image, and let it do it's stuff. In no time, my PC was working again as if nothing had happened. Overall I am delighted with the purchase, and it's performance is as it should be. A good product at a great price.

brilliant drive
Toshiba may not be the usual name when it comes to storage, or something that people dont go for. maybe they prefer Western Digital or seagate etc, but this drive is amazing. i bought one, and there was damaged sectors on it. contacted amazon, another one sent out straight away. you cannot beat that, you cannt match that service so A+ for that. the drive when i got it, easy to install, fired up and is quiet, its brilliant. stacks of storage for what i need it for. brilliant drive, no faults or anything yet and still going strong in dec 2016

only lasted 5 months
After only having this HDD since November 10th 2025, the Hard drive health has gotten so bad that it keeps spitting out Bad Sectors, I've done everything that I could think of to fix it's health but from what I've been told, it's not worth keeping now, it's okay I guess as a Laptop HDD but not for a PC one, keep this in mind if your going for it's cheap price. I don't often rewrite reviews on most products I get, but this would be the first.

Replacement HDD for Freeview Recorder
Bought this hard drive as a replacement for the one that had failed in my Freeview recorder. Identical model to the original, and fairly simple to swap. Now working again.
