Learning Resources Rainbow Reactions Preschool Science Lab Set, Ages 4+, Colour-Mixing Science Experiments for Kids, STEM Toys for Kids, 14 Pieces

Purchased for a four year old, but also enjoyed by an 11 year old.

My daughters loved this science kit, and introduced the word "experiments" to my 4-year old daughter's vocabulary. Inside is a set of child-friendly science equipment (three large plastic test tubes, a 250ml beaker, a spoon, a child-friendly pipette, two test-tube stoppers, a funnel, three coloured lenses and a plastic base to hold it all). Also included is a booklet which outlines a series of experiments that you can try. These range from creating a baking soda volcano to making coloured "rain" in the test tubes. My children were a little too young to run the experiments themselves, so I happily stepped in to guide them through it. Note, that you will need to supply the consumable materials (generally household items that you have a good chance of having in your home, such as different food colourings, shaving foam, baking soda, vinegar, milk etc). The experiments are repeatable, and my daughters loved experimenting to get reactions. Even the neighbours kids watched over the fence in amazement. This is a fun introduction into simple to do science experiments and reactions that young children will enjoy whilst they're learning at the same time.

Bought for grandson aged 5 who loved it

We've used this set in the preschool class of our nursery (3 and 4 year olds) and used it as the basis for some further experiments around volumes and reactions. The kids were so taken with it and it definitely caught their attention so I'd recommend this science kit either to have at home or a gift or to use in an early years educational setting. Fab quality again as we've come to expect with this brand too.

This is a pretty good Learning Resources product, with up to 10 preschool science experiments available, and detailed instructions included, however, the set does require many household items and ingredients for the experiments to actually work. The items required to complete all 10 experiments are... Write your review Another educational and fun product from learning resources brand also great quality items inside and lovely presentation in a colorful cardboard box very attractive to any child.everything you need for the experiments is inside like a dropper,a funnel, a stirrer ,3 test tubes with lids ,one flask and 3 rainbow shape colour lenses and of course a booklet with strp by step instructions ,the experiments are simple and fun also great experience for kids and for adults too. totally recommended !!

My 5 years old son loves science and he was so excited when we got this set for him , In this set there is • 3 test tubs and 2 lids • 1 centre flask • 3 rainbow shaped colour lenses • 1 dropper • experiments guild • stirrer • funnel Is coming with booklet showing 10 experiments .

Lovely set for pouring and suctioning with the pipette, however, for the price, I think a few vials of colouring could have been added to be able to do some of the experiments laid out in the booklet….especially given the picture on the box! My 4 & 1 year old spent a good 10 mins with it though, so can’t complain too much! But when 4 year old saw the box, he then got excited about doing “changing colours”, which I had to disappoint him as we have none in the cupboard and they weren’t included
