I’m very pleased with how this kit worked. Fairly easy to do. Using my drill I had to hold it quite firmly, to avoid drill skipping about. I’d recommend having a little spray bottle of water handy to keep the headlamp wet while sanding. I just hope the good fresh look lasts. It might be worth paying a pro to seal the lamps properly now, so I don’t need to do the job again next year.

I was very scared to do this but my daughters car lights were very oxidised (yellow/brown colour). I wanted to fix them but a new set were very expensive. I chose Holts just because it looked like something I could do easily. I must admit I was very suprised how well they came out! I followed the instructions to the letter. Ive now done both sides and they are so much better than before and give off more light when switched on.

It’s a good product. Recommended! Unfortunately, there’s a missing piece of P1000 sandpaper in the box, so it’s a little incomplete. Wonder if the missing piece of P1000 sandpaper sent to me?

This kit works perfectly if you follow the instructions but with the larger headlights the sand paper discs don't last enough for both headlights

My lights were really bad, so I tried 2 other products which didn't work very well. Someone I know recommended this, so I gave it a go and wow.. my lights look like new!! I did have to get some more sandpaper though as the stuff in this kit wasn't enough to do both lights (they really were badly oxidised) Very impressed with the result.. i was not expecting them to come out this well!

I selected this product after researching the alternatives in the UK. It is straightforward to use, so long as you are methodical in your approach. Mask around the headlight; use plenty of water when sanding (a spray bottle worked for me); work the surface of each headlight as evenly as possible (I worked from side to side, overlapping slightly); make sure that if your drill has gears, you use only the first gear (i.e. lower rpm) so as to minimise the chances of overheating and damaging the plastic surface of the headlight. It takes a few minutes to work out how best to hold and keep control of the drill, because torque/rotation will cause the drill to want to do it's own thing. The results I achieved were good enough to merit a 5 star review, but one detail really let the product down. If I had sanded both headlights and then polished one after the other, I may not have been too annoyed that the velcro-backed polishing sponge came apart when I peeled it off the drill attachment. But unfortunately I polished the first headlight then went back to the sandpaper to start the second headlight. When I went to take the sponge off my drill, the backing material on the sponge started separating from the sponge. It was just stuck on, and none too firmly. So be warned. 3 inch hook and loop polishing sponges can be bought easily enough, so not the end of the world, but a bit of a let down.
