these work great. make sure your drill has a lip to put brace on. they work better on a drill press.

The adapter came quicker than I thought, which is good. It came with no instructions, But it wasn’t difficult to assemble just being intuitive. Clamping it to the drill guide was a little tricky. But keep in mind this is designed to be a solution to many problems. Therefore, it may not be a fix for every application. After about 45 minutes I succeeded with the installation. So, to answer the all encompassing question, would I recommend it? Well, a cautious “yes.” You have to “fiddle” with it, but it did, in my case, work just fine.

Fit perfectly

There are no instructions. Before you buy this find some videos that explain what kind of drills and drill press it can fit.

It's very flimsy and might not fit all drills. When making the holes, there's not much structure mounting and it wobbles a bit on our plug in DeWalt drill.

It works good, had to get some longer machine screws to go around the lower collar. Also replaced the nuts with locknuts to keep it tight. Good little adapter though.

After installing the attachment, and working with it a few minutes, I was able to drill the square hole. The learning phase is a little longer than using a mortising tool, but the attachment is less expensive and easier to store.
