The USB components for this extension screen isn't as good as it should be. They have a tendency to work for 1 year then fizz out. I had to replace this brand twice, being that the original one stopped working after a year and then the replacement stopped working after one year. I got this brand, and the set-up is pretty easy. Just plug and play. Be aware that the power notch on the side of the extension may NOT work due to laptop specifications, but plugigng it into the USB area works instantly. Also the cord is braided on this than straight up plastic like the other two, which may protect the cord lines better and not have the issue that the other two have had with the wires inside of the cable. Right now it's working as intended, so 5 out of 5. I will update this later to see what will happen to this cord. It's also less expensive at $18.00 dollars for a $20.00 cord. Still expensive, but we'll see how much it works within a year or two.

Works well with the screen

I have already gone through 2 of these cables in the past 3 months. Very cheaply made. The end of the cord came off in my computer the first time, and then the cable stopped working the second time. Unfortunately it’s the only cable that will work with my second screen, so I will have to buy another.

I bought this product as a replacement when my other one started glitching. It only lasted about a week, I figured I bumped it wrong. So I returned it and ordered another one. I've had it for just over a month, I've tried to be very careful, and it's already starting to come loose and break and make the monitor go on and off because of the poor connection. This product should be better made! The whole point of buying a portable monitor is so you can be mobile, but any movement of this cord makes it come loose and no longer work. Also, if you have your portable monitor to the right of your main screen, but your connection is on the left side of your computer (like mine is), it's an odd connection because as the portable monitor slides in and out, it sort of tugs on the connection port in a weird way. Do better, MP! Make this more durable for true portable use.

This is a 3 ft straight USB-A/C to right angle USB-C cable that supports charging protocols up to 3A and USB 3.0 data transfer rates. The straight USB connector is native USB-C with an attached USB-A adapter. The cable and plugs are both very beefy. This means that if yo have limited connection room or want a really flexy cable then this might not be the cable for you. The right angle connector was a surprisingly close fit for my desk phone stand but it works. The amperage capacity may be of concern to some. While 3A exceeds the USB "fast charge" and quick charge (QC) standards, some of the more recent charging protocols such as PD can exceed 3A. As a result users who are looking for a laptop power cable probably ought to keep looking.
