Most comfortable, well-built backpack I've owned
This is one of the best backpacks I've ever purchased. I bought two Timbuk2 backpacks several months ago: this one, and the CandyBar. Both are equally awesome, but for different purposes. I use both of them several times a week, alternating them depending on whether I need to have my laptop with me. I make it simpler to switch back and forth by using a Grid-it organizer; size 20/large fits neatly into both backpacks.Things I like best about this backpack: - The construction is unparalleled; perfect construction and stitching, strong design, strong side pockets etc. Everything is very well constructed. - All of the straps that are used to secure the backpack to your body are removable, which I love. I don't like to wear a waist band or a chest strap, and on this backpack you can easily remove them (or replace them) since they're attached to the bag with velcro, not stitched on. - The lining is sturdy and cute. - The laptop pouch is big enough to hold my 15" Lenovo Thinkpad T510 with extended battery. - It has a zipper on the side so I can stick an umbrella or water bottle in without opening the pack.Definitely two thumbs up for this. I'll post a separate review for the Timbuk2 Candybar which is also a fantastic bag.

hardly fits anything at all. otoh, more appropriate for a work environment.
Girly pink polka dot lining really bummed me out, and it's really small. Hardly anything fits in it. But I needed more adult look, reflective material. It's the equivalent of those tiny, pointless pockets women's jeans. Timbuk2 makes functional packs for men but for women? It's like they forget we are equal to men, and have the same items to carry as any biking guy.

A quality bag but a few caveats
High Timbuk2 quality. Looks great and I can tell I'll get sick of looking at it before it kicks the bucket. However:1. It's not actually great for cycling as the top corners of the tapered shape more or less act as blinders when you're trying to look behind you on a bike.2. It does not have very much shoulder padding3. I wish it used more strap or toggle closures and less Velcro. The Velcro catches on much of my clothes and furniture. Since cycling ain't the name of the game for this bag on account of the blinders, Velcro isn't necessarily the most convenient thing either. IMO other closures would be better.

Two Stars
It was not to deep, so I couldn't pack my lunch, books and 1 set of clothes

Great Pack!
I purchased this Timbuk2 backpack to carry my photography equipment when I travel. The pack is not to heavy - even with my equipment in it. I have room to pack my Nikon body, three lenses of various sizes, all my small accessories like battery charger, extra batteries, various cables and my iPad Pro - yes it is big enough to hold my iPad pro - the 12.9 inch iPad Pro ! This pack is well made and feels good fully packed and on the back. I walked through the Atlanta airport, from my car to the gate and never once did I have to stop to adjust or take it off to rest. It is small enough - fully packed to fit under the seat on the plane, so no getting up and down when you want to get something out of it during flight. The front pockets are very handy to carry cell phone or anything you need to get to quickly. This backpack was recommended to me by my IT guy at work to carry my lap top, iPad or camera equipment. He uses his to carry his Laptop and he loves it.

Good quality backpack
I've been using it to commute to work on my bike for over a year. The quality is pretty good still looks like new. I love the reflectors on it. Very room inside. It is a little heavy even when it's empty but it fell like all the weight is evenly distributed. The one thing I don't like about the design is the squared comers on the top. When I'm on my bike and look over my shoulder to see the cars/cyclist behind me, it's in my way. If this bike is design for biking the corners should be round it's just makes sense.Update: So disappointed they stop making this bag. Almost like Timbuk2 just gave up on women's backpacks. They make tote bags and luggage but all the good bags are for men way too big for smaller frames. This was the perfect bag and hate having to find a different brand.

Great pack for commuting!!
I love my backpack. I use it for a 12 mile round-trip bike commute. The outer pockets on the front are perfect for sliding your shoes into. And that little reflective piece just down from the buckle is perfect to attach a rear light to. I have a 17in laptop and it fits in the sleeve no problem. I haven't worn in it a torrential downpour yet, but I did spill some water on it the other day and it beaded right off. The zippered pocket on the inside has some nice fleece lining for throwing in sunglasses. As with any backpack I would never recommend putting too much in because it starts to get uncomfortable while riding. All in all so far so good I am very happy with this purchase. And that "stealth" reflectivity is pretty nifty.

A Rare Find!
Awesome bag! I use it to commute back and forth to work on the train. Waterproof and durable. I am able to get my laptop, spiral bound notebook, clutch, lunchbox and shoes (flats or low heels) into this bag! The side zipper makes it easy to reach my book/ipad and put them away quickly. The black mesh pockets on the sides hold an 18 oz water and 16 oz coffee travel mug. By far, this is one of the most comfortable backpacks I have ever owned. I'm only 5'2 so a bag that fits well, has even weight distribution (even when heavy), and still allows me to maneuver through a crowded train station is a rare find indeed!
