This book is an invaluable addition for anyone looking to research German uniforms and any information on how they were worn and their usage. The pictures of the uniforms and models are very clear and excellent detail is given in the narrative, ideal for a student of the period.

As other reviewers have pointed out this book does not cover every possibility - something not remotely achievable in the format and page allocation. Nevertheless the book is extremely good and the photographs are of excellent quality. Its now quite old, but very little requires correction. In short still very good value and most informative: something of a 'must have' if this is your subject.

An excellent reference book which can be used by both the model maker and military historian/collector. It describes in detail the development of German army uniform during the WWII period. Text uses clear language and is well supported and illustrated by clear relevant photograhs. The book covers a wide subject matter at a consistently high level of detail and provides more than sufficient information for further research into a particular aspect of uniform or equipment. Overall another excellent book from Wade Krawczyk.

This book is a must for any student of German WWII Uniforms. His use of originaluniforms on models really is great touch. There are four pages on every uniform with informative text on the first page and a full page photo of the model and uniform on the second. Pages three and four feature detail photos. Wade's books on WWII Panzer Uniforms set a high standard and this one is a keeper for my book shelf.

Das Buch von Krawczyk hat 128 Seiten und ist ein durchgehender Farbbildband im Großformat. 28 verschiedene Wehrmachtsuniformen werden im Buch vorgestellt. Dies geschieht so: Auf einer Kompletten Seite ist die Uniform von vorn zu sehen. Auf der Anderen Seite befindet sich ein kleineres Bild von der Rückseite mit den jeweiligen Text. Auf den beiden folgenden Seiten befinden sich zusammen 6 Detailaufnahmen von der Uniform und der passenden Ausrüstung. Zu sehen sind: Infantrie-,Prade-, Artillerie-,Panzer- und Kavalerieuniformen. Auch Feldjäger-, Afrikakorps- und Gebirgsjägeruniformen wurden nicht vergessen. Abgerundet wird das Werk durch 6 Seiten mit div. Ausrüstungengegenständen! Nach meiner Meinung sehr gelungener Farbbildband! Um einen Überblick über die Trageweise und das genaue aussehen zu bekommen, für mich ein muß!! Wegen der Farbbilder, sicherlich auch für den Modellbauer sehr interessant! Man bekommt sehr gepflegte Uniformen zu sehen !!! Meine Empfehlung!!!

Exhaustively detailed book about all the pieces of German uniforms and other personal equipments, weared by today's models. Very recommendable.

Contains fantastic full color pictures for anyone interested in WW2 uniforms. I personally use it for painting ww2 dioramas and display if correct uniforms
