Mitutoyo 2046S Dial Indicator Flat Back

Mitutoyo tools have an excellent reputation, and this dial indicator lives up to that rep. Don’t waste your money on cheap far eastern imports. They are mass produced (badly) and are poorly made. The Mitutoyo is just so smooth. Quality control at its highest and precision engineered to give accurate performance. Really worth the price for what you get. It also came with a test certificate too.

OK this is Mitutoyo's cheapest range. But that means it is still affordable and so much better made than all the unbranded copies. If your engineering requires 0.01mm measurements then it deserves good metrology IMHO.

Good quality instrument, very accurate, and delivered fairly quickly from Japan. It comes in a cardboard box, which would not be most suitable to store it safely when not in use as it is a very delicate instrument, but it was cheap enough for Mitutoyo quality and will probably spend most of its time on a stand anyway, so no real worries.

Used this to time an injection pump on an old diesel engine. I bought a cheap dial gauge for £10 at first but it would not spring back, thus making the job impossible. Bought Mitutoyo and done it in 5 minutes. So there you go, buy cheap buy twice.

I hesitated to buy this, at four times the price of a cheap one. Pleased that I did, the quality is clear. When making measurements, the last thing you want is uncertainty about accuracy- this item gives confidence.

Just received dial indicator. Not tested jet, but gauge feels good and solid. Seems perfect for daily usage!

As with all Mitutoyo products the build quality is great, accuracy is solid across entire 10mm stroke.

This is Japanese instrument and Mitutoyo never disappoint its users

Hormis l'emballage (boite en carton assez fine de couleur orange et comparateur posé dans un plastique moulé), on est face à un produit de grande qualité. Certes il na pas les rubis que l'on trouve sur des modèles plus haut de gamme, mais pour un usage courant il fera largement l'affaire. Il coute 2x plus cher (voir 3x) qu'un modèle chinois, mais croyez-moi il vaut son prix. Il est même fourni avec son certificat (n° de série unique) complet. Que demander de plus?

Benötige die Messuhr zum Justieren der Druckplatte meiner 3D Drucker. Habe dazu einen Messuhrhalter gemacht welcher mit dem Druckkopf mitfährt um die Druckplatte einzumessen. Excelente Wiederholgenauigkeit, einfache Bedienung - kann man weiter empfehlen.
