The 15yo Shurflo pump in my RV stopped holding pressure. I probably could have serviced the valve but decided to replace the pump since I had to take half the RV apart to get to the pump. A few notes on pump replacements in general and on this specific pump. * The Amazon product description says that you might receive one of two different model numbers, but “they are the same”. Except the amps are different per the literature. At any rate, you don’t know what you are getting until you have it in your hand and then can determine the proper circuit and fuse size. In my case I had to go up a fuse size from original pump. Wire size was fine. * The existing pump connected to the water system via barb fittings with hose clamps. I had to cut these off as they wouldn’t come off the existing fittings, the hose having become stiff. The new fittings on the new pump were slightly smaller, so they actually didn’t make a water tight seal on the high pressure side unless I really cranked down the hose clamp. * The new pump seems to operate quietly and reliably, and holds pressure over night when off. * I learned through this process that most of the pump noise actually comes from the waterline on the high pressure side pulsing and flexing with the pump and whacking into the floor or interior parting in the compartment it is in. The solution is not to clamp it down but to let it flex and I put foam pipe insulation around it to deaden the sound and absorb the hits. Made a huge difference in noise. No complaints about the new pump, seems solid, weighs more than the original, performs as expected. The included fittings were what was needed (though 90 degree would have been helpful).

This is a Good pump. Maintains pressure, and it works as expected. My only concern is why do they put these flimsy plastic fittings on the pump input and especially the output ? It is an odd size that doesn't easily match up to std hose sizes or pipe fittings. I attached my 1/2" washdown hose to the barb and fastened it with a SS hose clamp, it blew off during a fishing trip and distracted us from the fish !

Nice little pump made a pump in a box for a cabin that runs off a gravity fed water tower with 12 volt solar system with a bypass if pump fails. Installation is straight forward, noise level is zero for the application I made it for and client is happy with pumps pressure and volume. Pump is only being used to have showers, toilet and sink for dishes

No problem using pump, but I needed to source and install the recommended 15 amp fuse, which should have been supplied. Also, beware, the pump has a short duty cycle of just 5 minutes/10 minutes off.

Funciona muy bien, fue instalada en un equipo para pavimentación de carreteras; pero despues de cierto tiempo al parecer se calienta y deja de bombear con la misma eficiencia, casi llegando a cero. Afortunadamente con un tiempo de descanso razonable vuelve a la normalidad.
