Exceeded my expectations. Spent $400 on a range finder just a couple of years ago that doesn't have near the quality or the accuracy and severely lacks all of the "bells and whistles" golfers want at a reasonable price in a range finder. The ULT-X does everything I need to have done accurately, easily, timely, and efficiently. Distances are almost instantaneous and are to the 1/10th of a yard. Objects can be measured out to 1000 yards. It has the slope feature, which is awesome, and when you don't need it is simple to disable. It has the "pin seeker and jolt action", also quick and accurate. What I really like is the feature that allows you to hold down the power button for difficult shots and scan distances one after another around that shot. I think it's extremely well made, waterproof and comes with a two year warranty. And no, I'm not an employee nor am I being paid for this evaluation. I am an extremely happy end user!! Quality AND completeness at an affordable price. Tectectec is awesome and I highly recommend this range finder over others on the market. Don't take my word for it. Buy it and see for yourself!!! I am very pleased with the TecTecTec ULT-X rangefinder, very good product that did not break the bank. Accuracy seems to be right on, I compared with a friend’s much more expensive Bushnell rangefinder and we were within 1 yard. The vibration feature took a bit of practice; the yardage was accurate even though it did not vibrate (operator error). Having the vibration feature is nice, alerting me when it captures the distance to the pin. I appreciate the scan feature; having the ability to scan other objects quickly to determine how far to advance my ball is extremely helpful for my errant shots. As the course I play regularly has large elevation changes, the slope feature is great allowing me to use the correct club rather than guessing. This feature is extremely helpful when playing a course I am not familiar with.

I'm a 1st time user of a range-finder that previously only used my iPhone with the Golfshot application. I am lazy 14 index that hates practice, but is hoping to improve my game by knowing true yardage....I "shot" every hole on my home course to for the 1st couple rounds to get comfortable with it. I absolutely LOVE the slope feature. I was pleasantly surprised how my club selection has improved. As a newby, it took me a few holes to get used to relaxing and taking a stable shot of the flag. Some of the reviewers suggested this might be due to the lightweight size, but I have nothing to compare it too, so I think it is just a bit of practice. I find the optics spectacularly clear, the size small and lightweight, and the construction solid enough that I'm treating it no better or worse than my clubs. I do not use the vibration feature much, but I'm now able to get a good reading regardless of background. Every once in awhile I get a weird reading, but it is usually because I am sighted on a tree far beyond the green. I don't question the accuracy at all, since it correlated well with my phone gps app as well as my friends Bushnell. I can only hope that I someday will care about a 1/10 of a yard "someday."

I bought the ULTx to replace an older model Leupold GX-3i which I have been using for years. Several features attracted me to the ULTx: Pinseeeker vibration, slope, and scan modes. Other models had similar features but were much more expensive. So far, I have used it twice and it has worked beautifully. It is a little slower than the Leupold in finding the distance but seems to be more accurate by 9-10 yds. The viewfinder is very clear. The focus is easy to use and adjust with 6x magnification, finding the pin is a breeze. So far, the slope adjustment has been less useful than I thought it would be. I probably would have bought the other model had I known. But overall, very happy with the TecTecTec. I was apprehensive at first but quickly got comfortable with the device. The case is well designed. I have only had this for a month so far, so good. If it proves durable, I would definitely buy another.

I did quite a bit of research before settling on the rangefinder. I had a Bushnell for a long time but simply could not justify spending $400+. This brand was always at the top of the list for best value and the new ULT - X had all the features I was looking for at half the price. After using twice I am very pleased so far. It is high quality materials, easy to use and all the features work as advertised. One note for anyone who purchases, DEFINITELY read the manual. Having used other rangefinders, I assumed locking on a target would be just like the rest but it does work differently. That said, once you understand the different modes, it works great and is easier to use. I also want to talk about how incredible the TecTecTec customer service is. After receiving the device, the company reached out several times to make sure everything arrived okay and to see if they could answer any questions. I did ask about a silicone case as I could not find one for their newest model on their website or anywhere else. I sent one email and they said they would be happy to send one free of charge.

I have using this for a few months, most asked questions lately is “what you get”, very accurate, to one decimal point, love the vibration at lock, the easy handling and when allowed, the slope. Certainly seems rugged enough with all the rubberized edges, but just in case a wrist strap for the extra cautious. Not sure of the battery life, extensively used these last few months and going strong, the initial battery placement showed a brilliant design for the compartment, why most other products don’t make this easier is a puzzle. Definitely worth the money, you won’t be disappointed, if only I was as happy with my play.

Great product, only issue I have is taking glasses on and off gets tiresome

To be fair this is the first range finder I have purchased. I wanted one with SLOPE features but also wasn't willing to spend 6-700$ for the top end brands. At half the price, this one was a winner. Compared with other golfers range finders, this was as good, if not better (most don't have slope) and way more accurate (and faster) than the APP I was accustom to using. It did take some practice to hit the pin consistently but the vibration feedback when you do is great. Would recommend!
