8-Inch Backdraft Damper Shutter Inline Spring Loaded for Dryer Duct

I installed this for my daughter on her dryer duct at an apartment. The duct had feedback so we put this on to ensure the airflow was one way only and not flowing back into her dryer. IT was a perfect fit with the flexible duct tubing and the dryer. I did not need to bend or crimp anything. The flapper doors work very well and it’s a quality metal product. Very easy to install. So far it seems very durable. Great value for the money!

This backdraft damper has been very effective at keeping odors out, which has made a huge difference. It works well most of the time and has really improved the air quality in my space. The only downside is that it occasionally gets stuck, so I have to check on it and adjust it now and then. Other than that minor issue, it’s a solid product that does what it’s supposed to do.

Perfect! We had a cold windy day and I felt cold air circulating out from under my range. It was pouring in from the microwave through the vent hood duct. My first winter in this home and found the vent on the outside doing nothing to prevent cold air blowing in through the microwave vent hood. This fit perfectly INSIDE the 6” duct and created a great seal to prevent any draft coming into the house through the duct. There was not room for an additional fitting as there is a 90 out of the wall into the hood. Good quality, perfect amount of spring tension, the vent van pressure opens the damper with no problem.

Nice product. The spring is a little stiffer than I would like but for most applications I can think of it would work well.

This ended up being the perfect solution for me. This fit snugly in my 4-inch duct. The flaps open easily and shut when they should.

Wow, this is beat my expectations. Works perfectly. Fits snug inside the duct. And its small size made a compromising situation that was very room to with, super easy!

I had a serious draft coming through my range hood. If you put your hand under the vent you could feel all the cold air seeping in. I purchase this backdraft damper and put it in the wall end of the duct in the image, and it was perfect. I no longer feel any air coming in. The spring mechanism works well as I see no difference in noise or airflow when I turn on the range hood. It seems to be well made and should last a while. Trapping out the cold is worth the cost. Especially these days.

We used this item for our stove range vent. It worked great and it opens and closes with ease. Very quiet when running, no outside noises.
